Hello everyone, Krista here.  The weekend is almost here.... YAY!!  And for many us in the states that means a three day weekend (double yay)!!  But before I get ahead of myself, I have to let you know that I got majorly lost in the galleries today.  There were SO many beauties!!  Take a look at a few that caught my eye.

This design is AWESOME!  I LOVE all of the arrows and paper strips.  The whole page is really used so well!

WOW!!  WOW!!  Everyone must go take a look at this layout up close, becuase this is hand detailed FONT (yes, fontwork)  AMAZING.  I must've looked at this page for about 15minutes!

I love the creative use of space and how all of the photos are laid out.  It's almost like a grid, linear design.  LOVE the mixture of all of the textures and colors.

What a really cool page!!  I LOVE the doodles, scribbles, and odds and end pieces on the page.  And the layout is literally full of photos.  AMAZING designwork.

I love how this layout really captures a story.  Photos, journaling, and the arrow and sign to draw you eye inward.  Love all of the taped up pieces.

Wow...September already?  I can smell fall!  The warm colors, the cooler air, the kids are adjusting to school.  It's a great time of year!  Here are my picks for your Wednesday:

Crystalbella77's You  I think Crystal should give lessons on design. Everything she does is placed thoughtfully with a perfect eye.  Gorgeous.

 

duniascrap's 34 years in 34 movies  Such a cute idea!  I like that she included a photo of herself too.

 

gingerandjake's just leap  This is so whimsical and definitely frame worthy!  I'd hang it in my family room! :)

 

jennV's how 'bout you?  Such a fun layout!  I love the use of a large photo, lots of journaling and fun elements.  Awesome titlework too.

 

Jippo's Sweet Slumber  Awwww...I'm have such a soft spot for kittys.  Really awesome composition and color choice for this sweet photo.

 

Joan's skate  Does it get any cooler than this?  I love the urban feel of the photos and the great clustering of elements.  Fab!

 

Melissa Hill's Think Fresh  I love gardening layouts!  This one features some great paper choices and the multi colored title highlights the fresh feeling of the layout.

 

zuzanar's one fine day  Once again, a layout that pulls out the colors in the photos and creates a cohesive look.  Great blending and brushwork!

I have a serious case of scrapper's envy tonight. My laptop died and has been at the repair depot for weeks. I still have several more weeks to go before it's returned and do I ever miss scrapping! The beautiful layouts in the gallery today had me itching for Photoshop and some creative time. I hope they do the same for you, but that you get a chance to indulge! As for me, I am counting the days. In the mean time, I am taking a few weeks off from GSO posts because it takes soooooo long on my ancient desktop. I know the rest of the team will keep the eye candy coming though. OK, enough yakking...let's get to the picks for today.

Make sure you read the journaling on this one! It's not only a beautiful page, but a very emotional commentary on this scrapper's life. Great blending, the touch of sparkle is perfect!

I love symbolism and drama in this page. The juxtaposition of the blue sky silhouette against the dark stormy background is genius. Great work!
