Finger Pointing (December 23)

23 Dec

It’s Bridget here, posting my last finger pointing pics of the year. Hard to believe it’s only two days until Christmas.  Though we don’t have more than a dusting of snow, gifts are purchased and wrapped, and we’re having a fun and relaxing week of baking, Christmas movies and lots of rest.  I hope you’re all enjoying this week, and now, on to some beautiful layouts!

Bloopers by Monkeysocks

Isn’t this a great way to showcase the outtakes of a Christmas card photo shoot?  Darling series of photos!

sickie by pixiedust

I always enjoy layouts that have unique photo angles and crops.  These photos, showing feet and taken from the back, still tell a story, and are perfectly combined with the elements.

fear driven by jen7

This caught my eye right away – the worn metal title, the little yellow car on the road, and a full page of journaling!

naughty or nice by stampin_rachel

isn’t this a cool altered art page?  The large shadows really make the page pop, together with the bright green background.

Happy Christmas by Steffi (two cute wishes)

Love the clean lines of this layout.  The cross-stitching really pops against the blue background!

growing up by kinun

love the perspective and depth on this layout – looks like he’s swinging right out of the layout!

o christmas tree by 1girl1boy

I love the neutral background with the darling photos and multiple layered elements.  Makes me want to haul out the frosting and goodies and do more baking and crafts!

our family 09 by kkklatt

crisp, clean, lots of white space and emphasis on a beautiful photo!

lauren by bjwtville

the light fading of this beautiful photo is very striking, and the tattered paper and Christmas trees are lovely accents.

Things are definitely slowing down in the galleries at the moment as most of us start gearing up for the holidays. We had our first snow here today so I’m starting to feel in the festive mood! Here are my picks from the galleries today, enjoy!

Aino’s Flutter Inside

So beautiful, so summery, I love the paint strokes in the top right too.

Make a wish by ART-BAKIN

There’s something about this that really makes me smile. It’s beautifully composed and the colours are so well handled, the titlework is just perfect. I really want to lift this.

’09 TV by Crystalbella77

I love pages like this! It’s such fun to record these everyday likes and dislikes and to look back on them later on. The colours here are so vibrant, the whole page really conveys the excitement of watching some eagerly anticipated tv shows!

grow by gonewiththewind

This layout really stood out amongst the Christmas pages in the galleries with its fresh colours! I love the natural organic feel this has, the swirly wire across the page is just perfect.

Free to be me by Jule

Pure girlie gorgeousness, I love it!

Magical Tree by Kathleena

Great use of the repeating circles and all the fun Christmas elements, I really like the mix of close up and wide photos too.

Looking Ahead by mottato7

With so many 2009 in review pages around at the moment this “looking ahead” layout really caught my eye. This is so beautifully composed, the colours are so soft and pretty and the whole page has a wonderful spring-like feeling of new beginnings – just perfect for the theme.

Superfoods by mommy22girls

I’ve seen a lot of amazing layouts with this template today but this one really stood out with it’s more unusual subject matter. Colours spectrums make me happy. And this page makes me hungry. Really hungry.

My grandmother by zotova

Simply a very beautiful heritage page, the tones really complement the photo and the shadowing is spot on. Great work.

I can feel it already, Christmas is near, the galleries are full of those Christmas, snowy and wintery layouts. It is making me feel nostalgic too, anyone want to trade a spot in the snow for one in the tropics? Let me know ;-)

Here are my favorites for today:

1girl1boy’s snowflake ornaments

The rich gold with deep red and glimpses of green, now this is Christmas! Beautiful composition and layering, this page is a real eye-catcher!

naughtsncrosses’ Little Angel

The photo is just priceless, I love the little girl’s expression, and the treatment of it is just perfect for this dreamy page. So simple, so elegant, such a beautiful page!

nockosh’s gift voucher card

Very very very cute gift card holder, it is so fun and colorful!

Marussia’s A small present for my prince

I’m a big fan of layouts without photos, and this one is no exception. It is so sweet and simple.

justka777’s Racing Driver

Hehe and this one made me giggle, it is such a cute setting and she did a perfect job on the shadows and lighting!

Cherry’s ~shopping~

Ooh, who doesn’t love shopping? Cool page with the colorful and funny photos. Love the composition with the circles!

Mrs Sunshine’s Dreams

Sigh. Sparkly. Stunning. Beautiful.

finecraft’s Fields Of Gold

So wistfully, she captured the mood oh so perfectly. Fabulous job on the blending and the depth.

pne123’s * I Heart This Santa *

The cutest Santa ever! Love those strong colors on the background, beautiful!

Happy Friday Everyone! I imagine everyone is pretty much into full holiday swing by now. This weekend I need to wrap presents, finish baking and let loose at a party or two. I am actually feeling pretty festive this year.

Here is some inspiration that grabbed my eye today.

Time Slip by stampin_rachel

This is so amazing! I love how she finished the circle of the clock with the paper and the fading journaling. Awesome page!

Photo Time by Vesi

This is so fun and whimisical. Love all the sweet clusters. The tone of the photo really makes it pop too.

Perfect Cookies by kateno4ek

This layout is pure fun. Love how she sat her little chef on the stove.

Snowman Cupcakes by rebecca h

The composition here rocks! I really dig it and those snowmen are too cute!

Inspiration by pouyou

I love all the white space here and how all the colors just pop. Great shadow work too.

Sweet Rain by chichenilla

This layout just enchants me. Love how the photo is contained in its little world.

When I Grow Up by Komarik

I dig how this is set on the diagonal and how the photo is just peeking out. Super cool.

Year in Review by CindyS

This is briiliant! I love the idea of a year in review and this is so much fun. Love the stacks of photos and the snippets of journaling. I am so getting this template.

Finger Pointing (December 16)

16 Dec

Good morning all!  I think I’ve eaten too many Christmas goodies.  I’m fighting a headache and I’m craving fruit and veggies! LOL!  The galleries aren’t as full as usual, I think everyone is busy getting those holiday to lists finished.  Never the less, I found some great layouts for you today.  Enjoy!

t_a_l_i’s Mad Face  I love the photo here and the journaling is perfect (notice the tilting of the journal lines, great touch)

sm_amber’s Such a Blessing   Isn’t this gorgeous?  A great use of pattern paper and the composition is stunning.

Omega021’s I love baking with mum  Really great clustering of elements here with nice attention to shadowing.  I love the photo!

nikkiARNGwife’s The One-der of Christmas  I love the title work here and the pops of mint green make the color scheme really pop.

jstbkz’s Gods Gift of Family  Nice choice of font here and I enjoy the way she laid out the word gift.  But the star here is the framing of the couple in the background which is erased to look like it is behind the girl in front.  So stunning!

GButcher’s 2009 em fotos  How fun is this?  I love year in review layouts and the photos here are amazing!  Great use of elements and colors.

Carolee’s Reluctant Cowboy  How cute is this?  Lovely photos and awesome use of doodled elements.  I really like the way the journaling is tucked around the sides of the main cluster.

aneal’s making it lovely  Not only is this a lovely composition with great snapshots of her daughters room (memories that are so much fun to look back on) but the journaling is full of meaningful stories.  Great page!

alb52’s Love Always    After all these years Amy still wows me with her layouts.  Her work with paper scrapping really shows here.  The layering of elements, the realistic doodle effect over the photos, and shadowing are all top notch.  Add in the great design and pops of yellow and you have an eyecatching LO.
