Finger Pointing (May 31)

31 May

Good morning!  I can’t believe it is the last day of May.  At this rate, summer will be over before I know it.

susieq2u’s Legends on L Plates  This layout is just fun.  So many details, from the paint, the acrylic star, and even the way she did the year 2010.  Very clever.

wombat146’s TODAY Such a lovely photo, and definitely the focus of the page.  There are just enough tiny details to make it visually interesting.

Scooty’s Emilynn  Simple, graphic, great crops on the photo and great journaling (love that it’s subtle and doesn’t detract from the page).

pSyren’s Free to ride  This is lovely!  I love the vivid photos, the orange seat of his bike just pops.  Great clustering and strong design make this a fab page.

mlpieters’ fun in the sun  Ahhh…doesn’t this make you want to go to the beach?  I love the conversion on the photos and the lovely torn frame is perfectly balanced with a cluster of elements on the left.  Fab!

loribear’s Dream and Discover  I love the layering of blocks of paper and flowers.  And I adore that the photos are all taken from behind.  So sweet!

Kelleanne’s Please do not do this So powerful and well done.  I applaud anyone who use scrapping as therapy and then is brave enough to share it with the world.  Bravo!

Juliane Oliveira’s Nos 2 Way to rock the pattern paper!  This is just fun and happy and I adore black and white photos on colorful pages.

girlygirl’s Botanical Garden  I love the colors and composition of this layout…but the real standout is the shadowing.  I want to reach out and touch this.

Masterful use of colour here, that grey background is just the right tone to let the photos and the paper pieces shine. Loving that titlework and the grid effect too!

Finger Pointing – May 25th

Looking through the galleries is always a pleasure, but actually making the choices tonight was tough! The talent in this community often makes it hard to narrow it down to just a few layouts. What I love most is something that makes me stop and say, “WOW, I haven’t seen that before!” I hope you have that feeling a few times during this post! Enjoy…

I adore the color palette with that soft photo treatment. Gorgeous pics and those clever word bits make for an all around beautiful layout.

What powerful journaling.  Combined with the beautiful creativity of this page and I almost cried.  I know exactly how she feels, too.

If I Knew Then What I Know Now… by eryn

Not only is her journaling so sweet (if sad), her shadows on the bear and the choice of paper/font are also beautiful.  The photo is so precious too.  Altogether a lovely page.

I do wish I could make out the journaling just a bit better, but I love this page.  The journaling in the center with the collection of beautifully framed photos is so perfect.  She still managed to leave this page feeling clean and polished.  LOVE it.

Little Girl by Jannka

This is just so sweet.  I love the sweet babies photo blended into the “book” page.  The flowers and the word art just finish off the sweetness for me.  How precious.

I do hope you have enjoyed my selections today.  Happy Sunday!
