Finger Pointing – December 13th

13 Dec

Happy Tuesday everybody!  Barb here coming back at you with a bunch of holiday cheer!

My first pick today is Zodiac by Two Dresses Studio. I love rich colors, and especially how she replaced the “I” in the text with an eye.  That’s clever.  Super cool.

My next pick is In the Mood by Stampin’ Rachel.  Rachel never disappoints, and this is no exception. I love how she has blended all her favorite holiday movies into a fabulous collage and journaled about family tradition.  Great idea!

Next is The Girls by heathergw. I love the angled layout, the great patterned papers, and wonderful photos and journaling. I just love everything about it!

I admit that I’m a real sucker for bokeh and Christmas lights, so this beauty – Calm & Bright by annette – just leaped out of the gallery at me.  I love the carved girl, that’s such an interesting detail, and the delicate stars that swirl through the tree.  Beautiful.

And finally, I’ll wrap it up with This Little One is Called Horlicks by cheechchongfun. I love the bright eyed kitty and all the little details that are spun around him.  He makes me happy. So cute!

And that is it for me this week.  I’ll see you again next week with a bunch more creative genius!  Have a lovely week!

Hi all! Cynthia here today with today’s featured pages! I have to say, I love doing these posts, because when it’s my turn, I always find new stuff to buy that I need am always inspired by the talent in the galleries. Today was no exception, and I’m truly blown away by all the gorgeous pages, so you don’t make my job easy!

Wishing by alb52

Gorgeous brush work! I mean, have you seen the title? Just wow. Love her Wish list and I have to say that those lenses are on mine too! So I hope we both get a nice surprise on Christmas morning!

Good Life by Mi Monteiro

This page captured me from the start. The gorgeous blending and the stacked papers and lace add so much dimension to it, and the fabric flower is so life like don’t tell me you don’t want to reach out and touch it! Beautiful, beautiful page!

Winter by Svetlanka

What a beautiful snowy scene! I can’t tell where her photo ends and the background begins. The photo is adorable too, it looks like he’s just pleased as pie to be playing out in the snow!

Simple Summer Pleasures byMom2*Lauryn*Jacob

In absolute contrast to my previous choice, this page screams warmth and summer. I love all her tiny details like the fish jumping in the waves, her perfect reflection, and the starfish at the bottom of the tide pool. Just gorgeous!

Dear Santa by amandaresende

While it’s no secret that Amanda is one of my scrapping idols, I think I love this page a little bit more than I love the rest of her gallery. The gorgeous photo, the perfect borders, the brush work, and those doilies, just come together to make a perfect, gorgeous page. Just love this!

My 2 boys by talktoheather

Love the comsposition here! Gorgeous clean design and I adore the crops and angles on the photos. The tiny circles add the perfect finishing touch and her title work is spot on. Well done!

I hope you were as inspired as Iwas! See you all soon!

Finger Pointing – December 11

11 Dec

Hello everyone, I hope you are enjoying your weekend! I have been out doing a bit of Christmas shopping today (and almost getting trampled in the crowds!) Now I am happy to be home in the warm, with a nice cup of tea and having a well-earned browse through the galleries :)

A Taste of Christmas by DolceVita

This is such a lovely page, I love the warm vintage tones here and the collection of bits of pieces all layered together. It makes me wonder about the story of those children in the photos.

The baby elements here are blended seamlessly with the Christmas themed goodies, everything sits together beautifully! Add in a bunch of super cute baby photos and you’ve got an instant standout!

Cold by Romy

Bbbbrrrrrrrrr! Can’t you just feel the chill coming off this page?! Brilliant use of colour and style to create an instant mood.

Backyard Engineers by MNPeas

A great mixture of natural and hand drawn elements here, I love the little paper hats on the photo – they remind me of Where the Wild Things Are!

Christmas Wishlist by Lizzy257

This will be such a great page to look back on in a few years time to remember those favourite gifts and ‘hot’ toys! It’s scrapped beautifully too!

Notice by Scrappie Irene

This is such a wonderful quote, combined with a wonderful collection of altered bits and pieces – there are lots of hidden details here that kept me looking all over the page for ages!

Happy Thursday everyone! I hope you have had a good week so far. Mine has been pretty good, but a busy one!
I have such a good time looking through the galleries today!
Here are some of my favourites from today:

Dreaming of a White Christmas by DALE

I realy know what she means! I hate xmas here in Brazil because it’s sooo hot too!
My family and I love travelling at Christmas and we do it every year to colder countries !!!
I love that although this is a monochromatic color scheme page, there are still so many interesting details to look at.

I love everything about this page.It just pops out from the gallery and invites you to look closer!
This layout uses a a beautifully patterned paper without making the whole thing look too busy.Gorgeous brushwork and perfect wordart for the photo!

This is a gorgeous, soft, magical page!I love the simplicity and how the emphasis is on the photo.
Candles create a touch of charm to any space and this is exactly what the candle pic makes here!

This is such a beautifully simple non pic layout!
The monochromatic color scheme works so well here. Her  brush work is spendid!

She drawn the hair, tears and face!!!!WOW! I would love to know where she learnt to draw like that!
Amazing job !!!We all experience both pleasant and unpleasant feelings in our lives and she was able to capture and pass those two emotions dividing the page into 2 equal parts!

Oh! You better watch out, You better not cry…”Santa Claus Is Coming To Town” is definitely one of my favorite Christmas songs!
Laugh a little and sing a lot! Your children will treasure the memories of singing with you!
I absolutely love the sense of nostalgia here! Ho!Ho!Ho!
Don’t forget to go leave them some love !

Cutie Pie by Teeshoom

Love this page so much!! The paint splatters, the banners, every single element is perfectly placed and make such a harmonious, happy page. Well done!

First Trip by marto_gal_30

Love the clean design and how she left the larger photo in color. The subtle paint and the word strip add so much interest that make this a true standout!

Happy Birthday by Soco

Love that background paper! It’s almost like we’re looking inside her day planner and we find this gorgeous photo and the adorable clustered doodles. Beautiful birthday page!

Night Owl by PS-Freak

Another page with flawless design. Love the different clusters and paper strips, and those butterflies truly add a perfect finishing touch.

Merry Christmas by JanaO

How cute is this!! Gorgeous photo and the blending is absolutely beautiful, as well as the perfect shadows and clustering. All in all, a wonderful Christmassy page.

Finger Pointing – December 6th

6 Dec

Happy Tuesday everybody!  I hope that you’ve all had a great December day. I know some of you have been scrapping some beauties, so let’s chat about them!

My first pick tonight is Student of the Month by Elizzylee.  I love the simple design, the white space and the beautiful photos.  You can just see how excited and happy she is!

Next is I Protect My Passion by Dale. I love the colors and the strong message in this wonderful art journal layout.  I love how she “puts it all out there” for the love of her art.  Beautiful.

Next is October Faves by Mrshobbes. I love her well balanced style, the soft lovely colors, and the cool type running on the left hand side of the page in varying sizes.  So pretty!

I love the quote about the spirit of Christmas in this beautiful layout, Dear Santa by Donna Goar.  And being a font geek at heart, I have to get that journaling font. I love it!

My next pick is a great combo of boys, the holiday season, and pink. You just don’t see that combo every day and I completely love it.  Way to break some traditional rules and get creative.  So fun!  Here is Yuletide Treasures by SeattleSheri.

And last but not least tonight, I love this layout for it’s whimsy, it’s fun color, the blending, and the adorable photos.  This layout just makes me happy.  Here is Curious Girl by chryslergreen.

That’s it for tonight!  I’ll see you again next Tuesday for some more creative and colorful fun.  Have a great day tomorrow!
