Just now notice that I have chosen another blue/orange combination here. Well that proves the colors work together! Great page, looks easy and simple, but it’s a hard job to create a page like this one, to keep it interesting and strong! Great shadowing! Love it!!

Hello everyone!

This is Beth, a.k.a. kewl_jive bringing you today’s gallery standouts. It’s been a while since I blogged, I do hope all of you living in the northern hemisphere are ready for Spring as I am. For those living in the southern hemisphere, get ready for record breaking cold during Winter. Glad we were able to enjoy the “Hanami” festival which is the annual viewing of cherry blossoms last weekend. Okay, I hope I didn’t bore you with all of that, on with the presentation…lol

Here are my faves for today!

My dream by dul
This really caught my attention! I just adore the intricate circular design. Also love the flow of the page, not to mention the sweet photo, so soft and completely beautiful. I also like how she modified the template.

Romantic Spring by cizzy
Another wow page! The clustering is amazing, so is the blending. Love how crisp the photo is and how she balanced everything around the pic. Another gallery to visit.

Such a happy and fun page, awesome! Love everything she did here, really makes me chuckle. I love the font she used, really perfect for this and the elements too.

Feeling blue by carrie1977
Love the page! Great design and sentiments. I am digging the kit she used, the edgy corners, acrylic paints and overlays.

Don’t worry by Networka
Everything works perfectly here, great blending and balance. Love this!

Thanks for taking a peek at the pages I’ve chosen. If you have time, it would be wonderful to stop by and give them some well deserved love in the galleries.

Have a nice day/night!

Evening everyone! In contrast to Cynthia’s introduction yesterday, spring is most definitely NOT on it’s way here in Northwest England – the snow has been falling again today, bbbbrrr! Whatever the weather where you are, I hope you enjoy my picks from the galleries today!

Big Ideas by Jacqueline

I just love this colourful mishmash of imagery and collage pieces, using a colour and monotone version of the photo works really well here too!

Big Boy by Giane Designer

There’s such a great flow across this page with all those circular cut outs revealing the bright colours underneath and the photos positioned at either end (and what a cute photo it is too!) The use of the bright colours against the black and white is really eye-catching along with the scalloped edges on the black paper echoing the cut out circles. Fabulous stuff!

Now That He’s Mobile… by sporte91

And here’s another super cute photo! Doesn’t he look really proud of his new found mobility?! This is such a beautifully balanced page with superbly handled colours, the little pops of orange in the paper strips and date tag echo the hints of yellow and orange in the photo.

Super Powers!!! by MrsPeel

Here’s another striking page that jumped out of the gallery at me! I love the eclectic mix of comic book icons, paper pieces and painted elements here and of course, that super power would come in pretty handy too!

This is Why by tracermajig

If you visit this page over in the Designer Digitals gallery you can read the journalling more clearly, this is a lovely introduction to Tracermajig’s 2012 album and really encapsulates the reason that many of us scrapbook.

Julia by Jen D

The simple, muted colour scheme here really allows these beautiful photos to shine! The simple composition also places the viewer’s attention firmly on the lovely photos.

Hello hello!! Cynthia here tonight with today’s pretties! Spring has arrived and since it’s really hot I’ll make it short and sweet as I need to stick my head in the freezer. *sigh* Anyway… Hope you enjoy my picks!

Greatest Hits by Dalis

Are you kidding me?? I cannot begin to list the things I love about this page. The pastel border, the title work, the brushes at the bottom, the sweet photo…Just love this!

Painted Nest Challenge 5 by oldvwblues

Gorgeous blending and I love the quote she used. Beautiful use of stamps/brushes and that word art at the top is amazing!

twenty four seven by *Lynnette*

What a great photoless page! I have to say I totally relate (even though my word isn’t “gentle” ;) ) and Lynnette captured this emotion perfectly. Love her composition and use of stitches, and the way she placed the word art cards is brilliant!

Spring – New Hope by Captivated Visions

This is a page that made pause. It may seem simple at first glance but the colors, the faded words, and the flawless brushwork do convey a true feeling of hope and spring and renewal. Beautifully done!

Hello Nature by mrphoto

This is the sweetest photo! Perfectly paired with that background paper and the subtle touches of paint. Love her use of veneers and that baker’s twine held down by the flairs.

currently-march 2013 by mrshobbes

I love “currently” pages and this one is done brilliantly. From the gorgeous photo to her clustering and list, the cool stitches and awesome font work, this is a true standout!

Don’t forget to leave these ladies some well-deserved love! See you soon!

Finger Pointing – March 22

Hello, everyone! Katherine here with today’s Standouts! I hope you enjoy my choices!

Up first this afternoon is this beauty by Jopke titled when they were. I really love how simple this. The minimal use of papers and embellishments really lends to its charm. The blending is so beautiful and the color palette . . . delicious!

when they were

I fell head over heels in love with this next one titled AnnaLift by zwyck. Love the artsy grid design and the (clean) artsy grunge-y feel. The tonal palette is such a fabulous choice for the photos too!

Next I have this fabulous heritage-like layout by Alinamaria titled remember that. The color palette here is just gorgeous! And I love Love LOVE the transfer placement over the photo! Really adds to its dynamic!

remember that

I am a self professed lover of all things Project Life and am always on the look out for them. mrphoto’s PL Week 11 Left really caused me to stop and pause, okay . . . gape when I came across it in the gallery. This is truly one of the better coordinated ones that I’ve seen and I am in . love . with . it! Every bit of it from the grid design (which is typical with PL layouts) to the photos (which are absolutely amazing!) to the color palette (which is GORGEOUS!) to the use of only just a few embellishments. Superbly done!

PL Week 11 Left

Next I have this beauty by gracielou titled Fragile. Really love the soft, delicate feel here! The photos in the view finder wheel thing-ey are absolutely fabulous! LOVE all the different perspectives! The color palette is breathtaking and the layering, phenomenal!

And finally I have this knockout titled cousins by lego. I am so in love with the double split design here! SO unique and very well done! The photos are nothing short of adorable! I love the red with the brown and the embellishing is top notch!

Well, that’s it for me this week! Have a wonderful weekend and I’ll see you next Friday! Blessings!
