Finger Pointing – November 30th

30 Nov

Good evening everyone! Jeanine here with my choices for today! Can you believe it is almost December!! I’m looking forward to see all the DYD pages in the galleries the next month! It is such great fun to make a DYD or a December Memories book! There’s always a lot going on in December. For us here in Holland I hope there will be a lot of snow, although I know a lot of people hate it when it snows. I love it!!! But let’s see what I’ve found, that’s where you came for right?

Just need to believe by Misslovescraps A beautiful artjournal page with a great and strong message. Love the almost unreadable text and all the lovely colored stamps on it.

Hello everyone! Here Chantal from the Netherlands. I hope you all had a nice Thanksgiving. In the Netherlands we don’t celebrate Thanksgiving but I had a nice day anyway ;) I saw a lot of goodies in the digital shops! Black Friday is hot! And I saw a lot of beautiful layouts today! It was very very hard to choose! These are my picks:

Documenting Everyday by Mirandana2007: First of all, these photos are beautiful! I love it that Miranda mixed black and white photos with the bold colors of Dunia’s cards and papers. Such a happy and clean layout!

Documenting-Everyday-by Mirandana2007

Me 2014 by Mimisgirl: The same beautiful bold colors but this time without the (black and white) photos. But WITH great journaling! It’s about Erin in 2014. Isn’t that a great idea? Great layout!

Me---2014-by Mimisgirl

Then I saw this beauty About Cats from Tinkelbel (Anja). The photo of that cute cat is beautiful! I love cats. It maybe looks a simple layout. But if you look at the credits you can see Anja used a lot of products. The blending is gorgeous and I think a rectangle is the perfect shape for this layout! When you have a cat you know that the quote is true!

About-cats by tinkelbel

Speaking of rectangles… I found two beautiful layouts with a rectangle shapes in it. I love them both! The first is Merry Xmas by Domad. This is a gorgeous Christmas card. The two photos are so cute and I love the rotated Christmas wish. Great composition! And beautiful placing of the elements.

Merry Xmas by Domad

The second one is December Memoires by Sucali. I think this could be a page in a magazine. I love her style! The black and white with a little pop of red. Absolutely an inspirational layout for me!

DecMemories by Sucali

My last pick is Snowball by Traumelfe. I love the photo from the deer and how she placed the white circles and the mask. This would be a great winter canvas for in our living room.

SnowBall by traumelfe

I hope you like my picks. Congratulations if you are featured, and, if you love the pages, leaving a bit of love to these awesome artists only takes a minute. Each layout is linked to the gallery. Thanks for stopping by!

Have a nice weekend and Cyber Monday!

Hugs Chantal

Finger Pointing – November 27

Hello everyone!! I’m running late for my post for the 27th and it’s probably already Thanksgiving for many of you! ;) I wish a very happy thanksgiving to all of you who celebrate it!

Currently by Jippo  – Clean of clean. Loooove the color and treatment on the photo and the central design. I wish I could read the journal too but the simple and crisp design here is just enough to catch my eyes and stop me for a while to look closer.

Let Them Be Little by ellasspace  – Warm and sweet page. The photo and angle of it are wonderful! Beautiful fall cluster and white space. Love the texture of the background too.

Sensitive Hunter by lkdavis – I was drawn to this page cause my father is a hunter too. I have never been with him though. I wish I could have taken a photo of him. Maybe next time I can go to France in fall, I’ll try. I love the colors here and photo blended in the watercolor brush and also the little brush on the other side of the page that mirrors it. Great balance and white space.

Winter by Dawninskip – Very beautiful and delicate winter page. I love the different style of elements, big trees brush/images, stitches, stamp frame and the photo blended in the back. The big clip gives some dimension to the page. A little color touch with the snowflakes. Very soft and dreamy.

Winter by NikkiE – I envy those crazy cluster skills!!! What a gorgeous page. Lovely lace border at the top, sweet background paper. Glitter and big flowers to showcase this wonderful family picture. I love that it is in black & white. Gives it an heritage feel to it. Truly wonderful!

Christmas Lights by Icajovita  – Love the boldness of the red and that big dot background paper. The sepia photos are beautifully showcased and great shadowing too! Who doesn’t love some bling bling, right? Very cheerful and bright! Like any Christmas should be!

Hi everyone!

We are nearing towards the end of the month, which means thanksgiving is coming. Happy Thanksgiving in advance to all our US citizen scrappers. I know you guys are busy preparing so I won’t take most of your time but I hope you are inspired with all the pages that I picked for today. This is Beth aka kewl_jive bringing you today’s fabulous standouts.

magic by Sokee
This looks simple but really amazing! Love the use of white space and how she used the frame stitches and also the little elements here. The photo treatment is perfect for the page and the font she used. Everything works fabulously.

Happiness by Laura Wilson
This is so quirky, so creatively done! I love everything about this page including the Kraft alpha. Awesome shadow works on the flowers and string. Tree of happiness indeed. Such a fun, happy and amazing page.

Beautiful by Jenn H.
Feels like I can touch the page, love the big flowers and the lace underneath and all the elements she used here are placed beautifully. I totally agree on what she said, this is just a wonderful reminder. So many amazing details here including the banners, laces and stitches, it really adds beauty to the page. Love the balance she created on the layout and all the papers she used.

The Tree! by mimisgirl
I love family tradition and this really caught my eyes in the gallery. The gold and red accents really stood up. I love the journaling too, every tree has a story. We also have our own way of putting up the tree and we make sure that the whole family is around. Awesome clustering work and the bokeh on the photo. Such a festive event. Great job!

I Am Enough by Scrapaholic09
Awesome altered page, amazing use of elements, the wings, pony like creature and the written words are perfect.

It’s starting to look a lot like Christmas by Lizziet5
Gorgeous ornaments! Awesome crisp photo, I just love the flow of the page, and all the dotted swirls, dollies, and everything here. The brushworks are placed perfectly. Love the off frame and the vintage stuff underneath the photo and yes it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas.

Thanks for taking a peek at the layouts I’ve chosen for today. Should you have time, please stop by and give them some well deserved love in the galleries.

Have a nice day/night!

Finger Pointing – November 24

In the US, Thanksgiving is this week…a time to reflect on our lives and really focus on the things we are thankful for.  Here in Denver, it’s COLD…but thankfully, not as miserable as Upstate New York.  So, to honor those buried under piles of SNOW, I thought I’d showcase some layouts featuring great wintery photos.

1.  Rawr: Pull out the sweaters by scrapsandsass – Let’s just start us off today with this AMAZING shot.  I’m hoping it was taken at the zoo or with an extremely long lens…not sure I want to know how close you’d have to get to capture that guy.  Gorgeous shot and I love the colors used in the LO.

2. Christaly-Snowflake Christmas by Corelle- Awwww…I love babies all wrapped up for playing out in the snow.  Kinda reminds me of my favorite holiday movie – A Christmas story…you know, the part where the mom bundles up Randy and he can’t put his arms down?  Anyways…slight side tangent, so back to the LO.  I love the pop of red of the hat.

3. Snowy Holidays Bundle by Palvinka- WOW…gorgeous photo…gorgeous girl and I especially love the clustering work.

4. Winter Wonderland by jetje- What a great day documented.  I know that shooting in the winter can be tough, but not only are the photos great, I can just imagine how fun the day was.

5. Let it Snow by Kim21673 – first of all, I LOVE the photo…love it in Black and white…and I especially love the non traditional colors used.  The title is awesome, as is the cluster of elements.

6. Sweet Joy by Ann06- I’m a HUGE fan of the use of water coloring  techniques in digital scrapbooks.  It’s so cozy, so nostalgic…I’m picturing myself now on a blustery day with cookies and hot cocoa in front of the fire.

Hi everyone, Margje here to bring some gallery beauties I found today! And because of that we had no posts past days,  I decided to bring you some pages extra! So let’s get to them right away!

I’m starting with this cute little kitty page  Too Cute! By tansy  What a sweetie! Love the circle and the splashes in the background (that matches the color of the photo perfectly) and the loop behind the frame! Not to forget to mention the beautiful watercolor flower, that gives it that fragile look! Also the title in the loop is awesome! I love indeed!

Oh my Vivi! By tiffanyfisher10  Love how everything pops against the chalkboard background here! The glitter-y gold title is awesome and that photo is so sweet! The fun doodled border on the edge makes it all complete! What a lovely page to look at!

Apple pie by Monique1971 Love the creativity of that sticker of herself! That looks totally awesome! The background and the colors are pretty wonderful too! A true standout for me! I think that apple pie was awesome too!

Santa Hat by hillareyd  The color palette here is great! All those silvery bits stand out on it, making the cute photo’s pop! Love the filmstrips and the heading! It had to be on my list for today!

Gratitude by thomsen This page is for the digidares this week! The little photo made me curious and looking closer! The journaling made it all clearer for me! And I love that she made a page out of this! Love the way she illustrated it! It’s simply gorgeous!!!

Jolly Season by natalushka (Tiramisu design)  I totally love the placement of the frame!  The perspective of the page made that my eyes were drawn immediately to this page! And it has a wonderful winter, Christmas feel that I adore!

Merry & Bright by pne123  In this page it is the beautiful layering and the gorgeous colors that pop on the white background that makes it a standout for me ! And the photo is totally cute too! She used so much and it still looks clean and crisp! Fabulous work!

through your eyes by mumure  Something more artsy now! Love how creative this is! Beautiful colors and textures and blending! As if you really see the world through those eyes! Really amazing page and wonderful to look at!

Well that’s all for today my friends! See you next time! Hope you are inspired by my choices. Have some wonderful scrapping time this week and enjoy it!
