First of all, to those that work Monday – Friday I have a message. TGIF! Life is too short to be spending all of that time doing something other than scrapbooking. Am I right? Well the weekend is almost here, and there was no shortage of beautiful pages in the galleries this morning. I’m Brenda, and today, it’s my pleasure to share with you these pages:
This Moment by Myssp (Rachael)
This style is what I like to call “vintage meets modern.” Such a beautiful vintage inspired background. The slightly tilted photo in front of the frame instead of behind it is a nice touch, as is that pretty floral cluster below, and all in such pretty colors. If I had to guess, I’d say that Ms. Molly wasn’t in the best of moods. Is it wrong for me to say that her little pouty face brings a smile to mine?
oh no! by Amandaresende
As memorykeepers, we scrap life – the good and the bad and the every day. This story could be told by photos alone, but with the addition of some appropriate elements, some heartfelt journaling and the perfect WordArt this page will be a treasure even more in years to come. For the time being, I hope she has a quick and painless recovery.
Promise of Spring by digigrandma (Merrilee)
The more I look at this scene, the more I like it. With the use of the botanical overlays and scattered beads, I see a clear entry leading right into the walking path in the photo. Genius! Her title is so inviting too. Come outdoors, enjoy this day. It’s just the nudge I needed.
Easter Chicks by tape
This is cute as can be. I love the unusual placement of the traditional Easter chicks among the succulents in these photos. What struck me right away was the top and bottom borders in a small black pattern, with the additional black pops in the design itself. Speaking of design, I like how this horizontal design is a bit askew. The colors are so springy as are the elements themselves. All of the little details here make such an attractive and fun page.
Magical Moments by Anja_77
For me, this page is pure eyecandy. I think I could stare for hours at these beautiful, rich shades of blue that run throughout. I adore the watercolor paper and elements. The well placed butterfly at the bottom of her sweet photo is the icing on the cake. Daydreaming? Count me in.
Paint your own happy ending by justpattyanne
What a great photoless page. The overall design really packs a punch and the message “paint your own happy ending” reminds me that our happiness is in our own hands. I like the note that pattyanne includes. She opens up the kit and without any notion of where she’s going, she lets the elements decide for her. Given the end result, I think she’s onto something there.
I hope you have enjoyed today’s standout choices. If you have time, please click on the individual links to leave some love for these designers and memorykeepers.
