Things are so crazy at our house right now! The school year is winding down with two high schoolers. That means lots of AP exams and End of Course exams to study for and the teachers are cramming in lots of review packets. It’s actually pretty quiet at my house at night because my girls are so busy. So I’ve been enjoying having some scrapping and designing time…National Scrapbook Day is right around the corner and I’m already super, super excited.
Today I’ve found 5 different layouts that speak to me in different ways right now. That is one of the things I love about scrapbooking and looking through galleries – creating and see others create layouts that really speak to their current moods.
I love this pocket style layout! Not only are the colors nice and bold, but I love that the scrapper can make fun of herself. She knows she’s sarcastic and sassy, and she’s not afraid to document this about herself. What really draws my eye is how the black pops with the turquoise and lime green. I also really love the cluster in the second row. What a great way to dress up a pocket style page!
Hypnotic by alannabanan
The mix of the textures, colors and blending is what drew me in to this sweet, but melancholy page. I just love all the layers of texture and the drippy paint that mimics rain. Each layer seems to have a meaning and a purpose. It all mixes together beautifully!
This bright and sunny page by Cherrylej makes me smile. I love the blended background mixed with the fun printed paper. The word art title looks awesome and the word strips really just make it even more fun. The “rays” of sunshine are perfect as well. The lovely flower clusters round out the page. Clearly Cherry is feeling happy!
Fort Hill Hiking by HelenGullet
I love this layout that shows a family adventure. The large photo at the top really draws you in. Then the little pictures at the bottom, clustered with the elements, is a perfect way to show things they saw on their hike. I just love how it all works together and shows something fun her family did together – one of my favorite kinds of memories!
This layout by ScrappinRae is so bright and fun! I just love this picture of these sisters together. The wood background had amazing grain detail and it looks like the paint has soaked right in to the wood. The addition of the arrows really directs your eye to the photo. The green leaves gives it all that little pop it needs to pull it together. Such a lively and fun page!
I hope you enjoyed my picks today and that it encourages you to scrap your current mood!
