Finger Pointing (November 3)

SunflowersDesigns' 2005-OKT-Spazieren

How incredibly cool is this page? I love the little easel and the way the frame is layered over all the photos. The overall effect here is just stunning.

t_a_l_i's 2nd Birthday

This page is a great example of how a clean, simple design can still be incredibly eye-catching and interesting. I love the bold patterned background and the way the colors work together with the photo. Everything is just stunning together.

wvasweetness' H1N1 Vaccine

I absolutely love the design of this page. All the litte details are just perfect and the contrast between the two photos is great. Plus I love that it's a topic that is so current right now.

liljatr's Girls Just Want To Have Fun!

This page is just so fun! Love love the expression in the photo and everything here is placed just right to keep the photo center stage. Awesome page.

Zenobia's Confession

This is such an amazing way to include an entire page full of journaling. I love her honest journaling and her title work and layering are just amazing.

Samanta0505's °love°

This page is just so pretty and sweet. I love all the litte details and the way the blocked design moves your eye to the photo is just perfect.

scarletsierra's the good things

Photo-free pages seem to be all the rage right now and this layout is a great example of why. All the little details in this completely capture her message and you can really get a feel of everything that is important to her. The fact that the layering and colors in this are just amazing is a bonus.

1girl1boy's capture life

I just love love love all the nature elements in the page. From the wood grain-ish background to all the tiny little leaves everything just works together perfectly. Amazing page.

Aline Charpinel's The beauty of the simplicity

This page is a great example of how multi-photos, papers and elements can work together to create an absolutely stunning page. Everything here is just amazing and I love all the different photos. Love!

And because we didn't have a Gallery Standouts post yesterday, I thought I'd pick an extra layout to share today!

sarahh's The most wonderful Time

I'm a huge Christmas fan already but this page really just sums up why. The rich colors, the bits of sparkle and the subtle blending all create a page that just screams the holiday season to me. Amazing, amazing page.

Finger Pointing (November 1)

Kate here with my picks from the galleries today. I hope those of you who celebrate Halloween had a great day yesterday (and have recovered from the huge sugar rush that inevitable goes with it!)

Jopke's row row row your boat

So simple but oh so effective! Great job with the varying font size too.

Karen's Jollay Orchard page 1

The colours, oh just look at the colours! Yum, yum, yum, this just says "AUTUMN" loud and clear! All the repeating circles are a great touch, echoing those pumpkin photos!

Kel_doll's [cine]

I love pages like this, I have a bit of a thing for lists. I really like the feeling of having captured a snapshot of someone's tastes and likes to refer back to later on. All the horizontal strips here are a great compositional device, from the filmstrip background to the paper strips and even the alphabets. Cleverly done.

Kim1's ::btween::

What a GREAT photo, it conveys so much to the viewer. Kim has done a great job of blending the paper into the photo (or vice versa depending on how you look at it!) and I love the journalling placed round the sides of the page.

lialotito's New life

Such a perfect newborn page. This is so classic and timeless, it really is beautiful.

lisamars' August 2009

I just adore these lovely sunny summery colours! What a wonderful summary page and a great way of showcasing loads of photos.

monsu's Crazy for cars

There's something about this page that just draws me right in and keeps me looking at it! The colours are beautifully handled and work brilliantly with the photos, the whole thing just makes me smile.

shadesofbliss' Witching Hour

If the last layout made me smile, this made me laugh out loud. Yes, I do indeed know "that" time of day, "when everyone needs you, and you are trying to cook dinner, and everyone is crabby" and Witching Hour is the perfect description for it! Fabulous composition here, all the elements round the edges are perfectly placed and really add to the frazzled Mummy feel of the whole page.

star74's I love ewe

Masterly use of something that scares me senseless - boldy patterned paper. I love the scale here, the tiny photo contrasted with the big bold pattern and the large flowers is so striking.

Finger Pointing (October 31)

Happy Halloween everybody! Are you enjoying this day? The galleries had at least a few treats for me so here they are. Enjoy!

Saturday Scraplift No. 126 by oldvwblues

I love love love the treatment of the photo, great graphic feel to the layout with the repeated circle elements.

My Hero  by Joaquinsmum

The crop and tilt of the photos together with splatters and the arrow, this is such a fun and energetic page!

All mothers are superheroes, and especially a supermama to a son. Cute, fun and fabulous page!

Jump! by petruschka

Don't you just love how the photo and the elements are perfect for each other?

#09-031 by the3chickens

Such a happy and colorful page, she did an amazing job combining everything together, from the papers, to the layering, to the crops of the photos and the out-of-bounds effect. And there is a second page! Fab!

This little guy is just the cutest! I dig the restrained use of elements with the wordart tying it all together. Adorable page!

Old Lady by justjen

This is one of the funniest layouts I have seen in a while! I love her scrap rhyme and everyone peeking out the windows. Awesome page!

If You Forget Me by tarty00

This is a very cool page. I love the drama she created here. Great use of symbolism too.

Kale October 09 by kaleandkiara

Who says that a scrap page has to have elements to create interest? This is so clean and so striking. I am really in awe of it.

Wishing to all who celebrate....a safe and Happy Halloween!

Finger Pointing {October 29}

Good Morning all! I hope the weather is nicer where you are...I woke up to pouring, cold rain and frosty roads. ICK! Winter is coming. Makes me want to move to Barbados or something...mmmm!

So again, there was so many stunning LO's in the gallery, choosing just a few was tough, but check out these little bits of gorgeousness and make sure you go leave them some love! This is such a fun LO! The clustering of the brightly coloured elements on the white background REALLY works here! The design is simply perfect! And it makes me laugh.....especially the journaling. Way too cute!

Chatterbox by 1boy1girl

hahahaha!!! I so get this! My little man is just the same and this page made me realize that I REALLY have to scrap these moments! Cause it's so easy to forget the little things and personalities changes our kids go through! I love the colours here and the almost starburst design is very eye catching! Fantastic page!

Oct 12-18 by kayleigh

I'm such a sucker for these day / week in the life of pages.....now I'm annoyed that I don't do more of them! This one is fantasic, stunning mix of photos, fantastic composition and just super super cool to get a peek into her life like this! Love this page, so into my faves for lifting!

Have Faith by Leila

This is simply beautiful, touching and powerful. The journaling is gorgeous and heartfelt and made me FEEL. The layering, clusters and overall composition are beautiful too....she's got it all here! This is a very special page to be cherished for years to come. Thank you for sharing it Leila!

Finger Pointing (October 28)

The galleries are full of warm colors and great inspiration.  Take a look at what I found today!

Cherry's ~playing clarinet~  Love the color choices here and the close up detail shots of the clarinets.

Crystalbella77's free to be me  I'm always in awe of photo less pages that are still inviting and interesting to look at. Not only does this page have great journaling but it's well balanced top to bottom and side to side.

Didee's Delight Altered Book  Oh my gosh!  Please click on the link and see the inside of this piece of artwork.  It's absolutely delightful!

Hutchie's Grateful  This page made me smile.  You don't always have to use magazine perfect photos.  This imperfect photo is absolutely beautiful when placed in this beautiful layout (great colors, great balance).

Maria W.'s One of a kind  Maria does white space like no other and can this page be any cuter?  Perfection!

sbaird's Enjoy Life  Awww...what a great shot!  Notice how the color scheme really makes the turquoise of the sandbox pop?  Great Layout!

shades of bliss's Monster Corn Boxes  How fun are these (not to mention yummy)?!  I am definitely going to give these a try before Saturday!

Sweeet's Beary Much  The first that caught my eye was the awesome shadow work on the elements.  Then I fell in love with the composition but my eyes couldn't stay away from those photos...they really are the sweetest thing about this LO.

tdavenport's Ifoon  Someday I want to be able to journal like this.  When you remove all the clutter and just focus on photos and wonderful journaling, you have captured a memory that will last forever.
