Finger Pointing (July 12)
Another Sunday, another morning spent cruising the galleries for my standouts - whoo! Here are my choice for today:
bj_ella's Ageing with Dignity and Grace
The journalling just breaks my heart, especially combined with that lovely photograph. I really like the composition with the repeated picture and elements down the sides with the titlework wrapped round everything and tying the two halves together.
sportay24's Brotherly Love
I'm a big fan of Jenni's work, she uses colour so well and this page is no exception - the red square behind the photo and matching hearts in the title zing up the page and create a great sense of balance. I really like the "everyday" photos and theme too.
cherryberry's Falling In Love
Lovely blending work here combined with great shadowing on the elements, the offset paper balances the whole page perfectly.
Blesus' In the News
Ahh, the joys of digital scrapbooking where you can add newspaper and preserve it on a layout forever without it yellowing or damaging your photos! The scanned armband is a great touch, as is all the aged tape and distressed papers. This reminds me of the collection of clippings I kept in a scrapbook as a child.
mikelinz's Joy and Pain
Another page with heartfelt journalling. The simple composition, monochrome photo and limited colour palette are so effective here.
linenhaa's Lazy Days
Such fun! Great positioning of the letters in the top right giving a focal point for that middle photo.
elenasworld's reawakening
There's something so magical and fresh about this page, it makes me smile! The journalling is great, and something I can definitely relate to. Wonderful colours again too.

Such a fun and easy idea to keep the kids entertained during the school holidays!
wildchild's wanted
This mesmerised me in the gallery for a long time today, such great texture. I like the ambiguous feel it has and it makes me wonder what's going on here. A bit of Bon Jovi is always a winner too.
