To provide an environment of reflection and growth in the art of scrapbooking
Kate here with my picks from the galleries today. I hope those of you who celebrate Halloween had a great day yesterday (and have recovered from the huge sugar rush that inevitable goes with it!)
Jopke's row row row your boat
So simple but oh so effective! Great job with the varying font size too.
Karen's Jollay Orchard page 1
The colours, oh just look at the colours! Yum, yum, yum, this just says "AUTUMN" loud and clear! All the repeating circles are a great touch, echoing those pumpkin photos!
Kel_doll's [cine]
I love pages like this, I have a bit of a thing for lists. I really like the feeling of having captured a snapshot of someone's tastes and likes to refer back to later on. All the horizontal strips here are a great compositional device, from the filmstrip background to the paper strips and even the alphabets. Cleverly done.
Kim1's ::btween::
What a GREAT photo, it conveys so much to the viewer. Kim has done a great job of blending the paper into the photo (or vice versa depending on how you look at it!) and I love the journalling placed round the sides of the page.
lialotito's New life
Such a perfect newborn page. This is so classic and timeless, it really is beautiful.
lisamars' August 2009
I just adore these lovely sunny summery colours! What a wonderful summary page and a great way of showcasing loads of photos.
monsu's Crazy for cars
There's something about this page that just draws me right in and keeps me looking at it! The colours are beautifully handled and work brilliantly with the photos, the whole thing just makes me smile.
shadesofbliss' Witching Hour
If the last layout made me smile, this made me laugh out loud. Yes, I do indeed know "that" time of day, "when everyone needs you, and you are trying to cook dinner, and everyone is crabby" and Witching Hour is the perfect description for it! Fabulous composition here, all the elements round the edges are perfectly placed and really add to the frazzled Mummy feel of the whole page.
star74's I love ewe
Masterly use of something that scares me senseless - boldy patterned paper. I love the scale here, the tiny photo contrasted with the big bold pattern and the large flowers is so striking.
Thank you so much!!! I am honored! And congrats to all of you, your pages are fantastic!
Oh thank you SO much. What a wonderful surprise and honor to be posted here!
