First of all I’d just like to apologise for us missing yesterday’s post, most of the team here are enjoying their summer breaks at the moment and with all the time spent away from the computer, I’m sorry to say that we slipped up. I hope you enjoy my picks from the galleries today:
bouille’s cool
Cool is the word. Wonderful use of the masks, colour, white space, wings and great photo treatment. This is such an eyecatching page!
carolee’s City Splashin’
Carolee has used great summer colours that just pop against that black and white background, the second photo is incredible – such great scale and I love how the cityscape doodle continues the series of skyscrapers.
nan z’s Mapquest…
Such a great way of illustrating the story here, the small photo works so well and all the little touches here and there on the map add more personal details. Touching journalling too.
PhoebeJo’s thinking ’bout the 80’s
I laughed out loud when I saw this! Ahhh, the 80’s, decade of seriously bad taste, I love it. The design here is just so much fun!
sbaird’s Slip n Slide
I just love how this page shines, the photo treatment is so effective – everything glows! The composition is beautifully balanced with just a few well placed elements. Fabulous!
Simoni’s you color my life
Just look at all the doodles! This is so wonderfully composed, the starburst design ties everything together so well while drawing attention to the super cute photo, the pops of colours here and three draw your eye round the page and I really like how the journalling has been fitted into one of the sunburst “rays”. Simoni has handled all these busy, and sometimes difficult to use elements, so well.
tdavenport’s Bowling
Such a striking set of photos that absolutely suited a more graphic, blocked page design. The little touches of red help to add some interest in the colours while the large stamped title balances the page perfectly.
voodoo-bryn’s Me @ 37
I love this photograph! This is such a happy page, lovely clustering of elements round the photo while the black page border balances the design and reminds us of the wing mirror in the photo.
livelys’ Happy EIEO Birthday!
This is the sort of hybrid project that makes me happy and not just because it involves cake! I love the great range of items here, from the usual party bags and invitations to the ingenious table mat and cake decoration, I know my kids would love this!
