It’s a beautiful, sunny day here in northern Illinois and the windows are open, letting in a beautiful breeze. I love it when we can give the A/C a little break. The chimes are ringing on our deck and it’s going to be a lovely night to sit by the fire pit. I’ve had company the past two weeks, so I’m really ready for a little time to relax. So, before I head outside, let me share with you some awesome layouts from the galleries. I think you’ll really enjoy the variety I’ve selected this time around. I won’t be back for a few weeks, as I’m headed to LA in a few days to visit our daughter. I’ll have my iPad with me so I’ll still be perusing through the galleries to enjoy all of the talented scrappers from around the world.

Cleveland Rocks by helenedubois

This awesome page just popped right out of the gallery! I love how the Cleveland skyline is masked with all the bright colors and how it leads  you right to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Then, check out that cool guy with his oversized guitar! He’s clearly having the time of his life and is on top of the world! Brilliant layout!

One Looks Good On You by Sam Ellis

Is she adorable or what?  The super cute photo is the dominant element on this page and the journaling tells the whole story. After all, isn’t that the real reason we all scrapbook? We share our photos with our stories to preserve our family memories. Sam is a master at both. I love the little pink tutu and her hot pink tennis shoes. The balloon and cupcake are the perfect accents. This will be a darling addition to her granddaughter’s baby album.

Perfect Wind by taxed4ever

What a beautiful, richly textured layout! I love how the sailboat spills out over the frame, as if it were ready to set sail in that gorgeous water. That sail is gorgeous and so unique with its colors and design. The beach clusters are the bottom are perfect for this photo and I love the distressed elements as well. The quote really tops of this standout!

Special Effect v.3 by mskinner

This layout is absolutely amazing and it grabbed my attention right away! The imagery is so vibrant and imaginative. I think the little artist is definitely creating his own world. Just look at the wall he painted behind him! I love the paintbrush he’s holding, dripping with color and also the cans of spray paint close at hand. This is wildly creative and I just adore it!

St. Johns Bridge, Portland, OR by digi371

This is a beautiful photo and layout! I can honestly say, I’ve never seen a turquoise bridge, but I think it’s gorgeous. After reading the journaling, the openings on the bridge really do resemble cathedral windows. This must have been a spectacular location for their wedding. I love the brush work, the elements and the colors. The frame around the photo is perfect and so is the turquoise frame around the word “love.”

Love by stormchaser

I love the photo of these three boys, all dressed up with their shirts and bow ties! It must have been a special family occasion that day, don’t you think? I keep looking at all of the eye candy on this page; truly awesome! I love all of the clusters and details. The colors are lovely and the ledger paper provides a wonderful background. This is a beautiful page!

I hope you like these picks as much as I do! If you get a chance, please leave the artists a comment or two in their galleries, which are linked to the titles. Have a wonderful rest of the month and I’ll see you again in September!

  2. I can’t tell you how thrilled I am to have been chosen for a GSO I have been away from scraping for a few weeks but I guess it was a much needed break LOL Thank You so much!
