Finger Pointing – December 10th

It was an absolutely gorgeous day here but it has been an “inside” day for me.  First, I volunteered at the local genealogy library for four hours helping people connect with their roots and now I’m sitting here admiring the gorgeous art in the galleries.  I am so blessed!  Now, let’s see what beauties I’ve found today.

I love how tylertooo has presented the story of the bell ornament on her page Friend of Friends.  The composition of the page is outstanding.  I love the cluster created with the script brush, the journaling, the bell and the 1976.  She has a great tutorial in the gallery explaining how she created this page.  Awesome page and I wouldn’t mind having that ornament myself!

I absolutely LOVE the colors in Day Nine by dfwest.  The black, red, and green against the crisp white is gorgeous and creates such a glamorous look!  The combination of the neat and orderly with the seemingly randomly placed creates a very intriguing piece of art.  Love it!

Color Challenge December by myssp is so gorgeous!  I love the color combination that was chosen for this challenge.  This page has a lot going on but the use of the white background with the aqua/red give me a sense of peace when I look at it.  Amazing masked photo and brush work!

I have never done PL (Project Life) but I really admire artists who have.  Week 28 by Ponytails is a beautiful example of a PL page.  Love the placement of journaling and the choices for papers and embellishments.  This is just an awesome page telling the story of her life during this week.

There are some really awesome December pages in the galleries but I was immediately drawn to Almost Time by Oldenmeade.  Love the horizontal compostion which is perfect for the story her photos and journaling are telling!  And the brush work grounding the photo cluster is just amazing!  Awesome piece of art!

The photo on Love Makes The World Go Round by jschardt just drew me in.  What a sweet moment she has captured!  The blending and brushwork are beautiful and her marquee letters spelling LOVE in the title are awesome!  This page makes me smile every time I look at it!
