Hi everyone! Patsy here with my very first standout picks. Browsing the galleries is dangerous for me. I get so lost in all of the amazing art that I forget why I’m in the gallery in the first place and how long I’ve been browsing! But, regardless of my easily distracted mind, I did manage to pick six amazing pages for the standouts today. I hope you love them as well and that you take the time to leave a comment on the featured pages. And, if you have the time, spend a little time in the galleries and leave a few comments along the way. I know I really love to get comments on my pages and I think everyone else does too. To get to the page in the gallery just click on the title of the page or click on the image. And now, here are my picks for today. I hope you love them as much as I do.
Perfect Feet by lmgdonahue is a piece of art that deserves to be framed. The brush work is phenomenal and adds so much depth to the page and the white border draws the viewer’s eyes in. The soft colors along with the grunge look works perfectly with this artfully cropped photo!
Captured by wtunison This is an awesome page! I love the use of the background paper with the text! And the gray and cream colors work beautifully with the photos. The placement of the photos, elements, and title are just perfect and the paint splat between the photos and background paper adds just the right touch.
Gathering Storm Clouds by Songbirdy This page brought back memories of days of fallout shelters and “duck and cover” air raid drills. Although at first glance it looks dark and ominous just read the message and you will realize that there truly is an upbeat theme to this page. The use of the black and white with the red “X’ creates an extremely powerful image.
Celebrate by IntenseMagic With the celebration of the 4th of July (Independence Day) coming up here in the United States, I was drawn to several red, white and blue pages in the galleries. But this one stood out because of the different take on the usual color scheme. The photo is awesome and I love the papers layered beneath it. The grungy papers are the perfect choice both in color and in texture. And I love the cluster with the 4, the journaling, and the bead scattering.
Chihuly Garden and Glass-Seattle by jcaruth910 This page could be in a brochure for the Chihuly Garden and Glass museum. The black background makes the bright colors in the photo absolutely pop! And the addition of the reflection makes for a stunning effect. I love the contrast of the white frame and title.
Yes.This by beehive50 I’m a fan of large photo pages and this photo used as a background is just beautiful! I love the placement of the journaling, the frame, and the title (the word art for the title is perfect)! And the placement of the brads completes the look and adds just the right amount of color!
Well, that’s it for today’s picks. Please take the time to leave a comment on these beauties!
