Hi and happy Sunday everyone! This is Jana and I’m so excited to be here today! Today, Flag Day is observed here in the United States. I’m enjoying my morning coffee while perusing a plethora of galleries and layouts. What a great way to start my day! I never cease to be amazed by all of the talent and different artistic styles I find. Today, I will try to highlight such a variety with my 6 gallery standouts. I hope you enjoy my choices and will find lots of inspiration from them. Have a wonderful new week of scrapping!
First up today is this gorgeous mixed media page. It’s truly a digital art journal style, which I dearly love. It’s rich with colors and elements and she did a fabulous job of blending everything together so beautifully. The quote she chose is perfect and what a lovely font. I love the beveled look and I also love the sweet ribbons on the lift side of her page.
I simply love this beautiful layout! The use of white space is absolutely masterful, which keeps the focus on the lovely vintage photo. The textures and lace add to the vintage feel, as do the sweet little buttons. The subtle clock near the photo tells you this was from a time long ago. This layout will make for a treasured page in her heritage album!
What a fun layout this is! The selfie is so darling and happy! I love how it is kept large and blended right into the background. I think all of the various word art captions, really tell her story and lets you know what she’s all about. I adore the little filmstrip of elements placed at a diagonal across the bottom of the page. This really pops!
Let’s Blend Challenge-Going Geometric by jcaruth910
This layout really caught my eye! There are so many geometric shapes and I really had to study it to see what the photo was. This is the One World Trade Center in New York. The angle it was shot from is stellar and it truly emphasizes so many sizes and shapes of the architecture itself. I love the beautiful blues and her brush work. What an amazing layout!
Okay, can you say adorable? These little photos capture the true spirit of cuteness and the natural way he is exploring his world! The teal, yellow and gray colors against the white background are just beautiful and really make the layout pop. The clusters of elements, which really aren’t necessarily for a baby, are perfectly placed around the photos and look amazing. Her sweet journaling adds the wonderful finishing touch and you can feel how he must make her heart melt everyday. Beautiful layout!
My final choice today is this gorgeous art journal layout. I love the beautiful colors and I think the mix of word art used in the title is outstanding! The placement of the title in the center of the page with the butterfly is very striking. There are many textures and layers on this piece, all which make it such a rich, artistic page.
I hope you enjoy today’s Gallery Standouts as much as I do! Let them inspire you to go create some layouts this week! I hope you’ll click on the links and leave some love for these artists under their comment sections. Have a wonderful day and I’ll see you in the galleries!
