Finger Pointing – September 1st

I can’t believe it’s September 1st already!  Where does the time go!  Today was spent laying sod and I can tell you that I was so happy to tell my husband that I needed to go inside and start searching the galleries!  I’m a little late with this post because of the busy day and because the galleries are so full of beautiful pages!  Here are my choices for today.  I hope you are as inspired by them as I am.

Fishermans Inn by dwsewbiz.  This is such an amazing piece of art.  The photo effect, which creates a black and white sketch, with just the right touch of color added back in really makes this page.  The cluster works perfectly with the other colors in the page and the art strokes are perfectly placed.

Nowhere To Hide From Bullies by SharLamb.  This page should be a poster for the anti-bullying campaign.  From the photo to the words, it sends such a strong message!  The brush work enhances the page and makes it even more compelling.  I’m not sure if we’ve changed much at all in the world of school bullying but I pray that someday no child will ever feel the “take me away” feeling because of how they’ve been treated.

Secret by ChaosLounge.  I love this art-journal style page.  The theme – there is more to me than what I let you see – is reinforced by the word art.  Love the placement of all of the elements and brushes.  The black and white with the touches of blue creates a strong but peaceful feel to the page.

Colorful Summer by Antoaneta.  This page has such a sense of calm about it.  The masked photo is awesome and I love how she has placed the frame.  The brush work is just the right intensity for the page. The cluster adds a touch of stronger color  and a bit of whimsy with the doodled flower.  Beautiful page!

On The Road of Life by bghg.  What a FUN page!  I have to admit that I LOVE the dog hanging out the window!  And the arrow directing you to the car in which the woman and dog are “on the road of life” is the perfect touch.  Love the colors with the green and red – and then, surprise, the hot pink woodie!

Nerd by IntenseMagic.  When I read the “my mother had me tested” on the thumbnail of this page, I knew I had to go in for a closer look.  And it was definitely worth it!  There is so much to love about this page.  Love the Geek and Nerd word art and the journaling encircling that cool pie chart.  And that picture is just too awesome.  Who would have thought that a page named Nerd would be so cool!  Love it!
