The weekend is fast approaching and I know we all are anxious for that! I love Fridays when so many digital stores release new products too! If you peruse the galleries, you’ll find layouts to get your creative juices flowing. Let’s see what some of the digi artists have for us today. I hope my gallery standouts for today give you some new inspiration! I will keep it a bit short today, as I have company coming later today and have lots to do beforehand.
Take a look at this gorgeous and very interesting layout by dfwest. Columbine is truly beautiful and I love the sweet flower and its colors. I have been a fan of dfwest (Deb) for a long time and her creativity is always outstanding. The framing of this photo is certainly unique and I especially love the photo cuts behind it. Her use of the doily adds a delicate touch, so perfect for the little columbines. There is a lot of visual interest with all of the brush work, the birds, the vertical row of buttons. Great mix of elements and layers!
Positive by jumlai is just bursting with energy! I love the blended action photo with the swirls behind it, creating lots of movement. The colors and title really pop and I think the smaller repetition of “I Can” word art convey the little girl’s story in a unique way. The stitched border is a nice way to complete this page.
This next one, sometimes by debby todd, has such a simple elegance to it. The artistic painterly/sketchy image is blended perfectly into the background and you can’t help but wonder where this street is. I also wonder who the people are and where they’re going or where they’ve been. I love the poem, that tells of a personal story and the placement on the side of the page helps to create a beautiful composition.
The Washington Post by marinapj is a fantastic layout highlighting our (USA) nation’s capital! I love the newspaper look and you can tell these people are visitors taking in the sights. Everything from the banner to the flag and the medal/charm contribute to this wonderful patriotic page. A great travel page for their album!
Oh boy… Summer Party by kaphelps looks so inviting! I suppose a lot of people will be having the last of their summer parties this month before school starts again. I adore the watermelon shot and how she cropped it…juicy goodness! I also think the diagonal design and the white space provides great visual interest, as do the pops of red against the gray background. Love the circles and word art! The cute washi tapes and the string around the index card are darling.
My final pick today is absolutely stunning! This precious photo of the little flower girl in Cute As a Button by myssp, is framed beautifully. It’s as if you were looking out a window into a wedding garden. I love the soft colors and the textured background papers. The card of buttons are so sweet and I love how she nestled them with the floral cluster in the lower corner. “Little Angel” is the perfect title and the delicate butterfly and scattered buttons complete this standout.
I know I’m already feeling inspired by these artists and standouts! I may have to scraplift some of these ideas. I hope you may feel the same way! Be sure and click on the links provided if you care to know more about these layouts and products. While you’re there, I’m sure the artists would love a comment or two. I know I always do. Happy scrapping, happy weekend (almost) and I’ll see you next time!
