Happy Valentine’s Day to all who celebrate it! Maybe you’ve been pampered, maybe you are surrounded by flowers and chocolates, maybe you’ve had a few hours to yourself to spend scrapbooking. However you’ve spent it, I do hope you had a little bit of time today with those you cherish most in your lives. I found time to peruse many of the digital scrapbooking galleries today to pick out a few layouts that I love!
Here are today’s standouts:
The soft colors of the sunset caught my eye immediately. The large size of the photo, the blending, the border details all contribute to the grand, expansive feeling of the page. The quote makes you wonder where she sails off to and what adventure is on the horizon.
I love the vertical orientation of the layout, the soft doodles and some of the words partially hidden, just peeking out into view. The mix of colors really brings out the playful feel of the page. I don’t know about you, but I can almost hear all of those words coming out, one right after the other. I think Ellen is definitely correct, children do teach us just how much patience we’ve been granted.
I’m a sucker for a shadowbox! And this one is just filled to the brim with vintage goodness. I can totally envision this as a treasured keepsake from someone’s grandmother filled with bits and pieces she collected over decades of romance.
I’m totally smitten with the combination of red with the black and white! No words are necessary, you can just feel their happiness radiating off the page. The choice of black and white photos added that little bit of retro to go with the choice of wardrobe and the white lace and detail photo of the flower bring a dainty, feminine feel that echoes the page’s story of love.
This page just screams out fun! She’s used so many different bits of paint and in multiple colors that it could look busy, but it certainly does not. It just pops right off the soft black background! The choice of alpha adds an almost grungy feel to it.

I love the multiple horizontal bands and the playful doodled border. I love the bright color choices (especially that red), the flourishes, the paint and the mix of detail and wider angle shots. The smaller bands dedicated to word art and journaling lead the eye right where she wants it to go. She really captured the joy he seems to be feeling.
I hope I’ve inspired you to do a little creating of your own today. When you visit the galleries to see these gorgeous layouts, please leave the scrappers a little love!
