OK, first of all I can’t believe that I just had to write January 12th! I know time flies by but this is just too much because I thought it was New Year’s Day just a couple of days ago. Anyway, it was a very busy day which included a lot of annoying conversations with a pharmacy and an insurance company (imagine that!) so I feel blessed to be able to spend a few hours enjoying the gorgeous layouts in the galleries. Here are my six picks for today.
Snow Day by Arte Banale is absolutely gorgeous. The icy blue color really makes me shiver as I recall those wonderful below zero Minnesota winter days! I love the placement of her photo and the word art! The photo crop is awesome!
The silhouettes and the shadowing are absolutely stunning on Rock On by Kythe. Her choices for the background paper, the ROCK ON, and the embellishments is spot on. Love this!
Determined by Katherine B was created for a one word challenge and it is awesome! I love the crispness of the layout created by the black and cream color combo and the touch of blue is gorgeous. The composition of the page is perfect and I am a sucker for right-justified journaling! Fabulous page!
When I first saw Waiting by Marleen in the gallery my breath was just taken away. I love absolutely everything about this page. The use of white space is amazing as is the coloring! Gorgeous!
Cable Car by dwsewbiz is a beautifully blended piece of art. I love the perspective created by the multiple frames! And the background is perfect for the photo. Awesome page.
Huh!-Carol-2016 by Iowan had to be included in today’s gallery standouts because it’s an awesome art-journal style page and because it made me laugh! I’ve spent the last week talking to customer service reps who obviously can’t hear me! Love the brush work on this page and the fonts/alphas used for the journaling! Love it!
Hope you’ve enjoyed my picks today. If so, please visit the galleries and leave a comment for the artists. The images and titles are linked to make it easy!
