Hello Everyone, Jana here on a bitter cold day, with subzero temps where I live. I guess winter decided to show up after all. It’s a good day to stay inside by the fireplace and browse through the galleries. I did just that and here are my picks for today.
Click don’t click by fruitysuet is my first pick for today. I’m LOL because we moms have probably all been through similar scenarios, trying to take photos of our kids, who would much rather we not! I adore the fun speech bubbles and what great drop shadows! I also really like the filmstrip photos with the paper strips behind them. The teal and yellow brush work is wonderful and really pops on the white/gray chevron background. Cute standout!
What Is It by oldbag165 totally intrigued me the moment I saw it in the gallery. I kept looking at the photo and wondered, what is it, as the title suggests. The blending of one photo in the background is superb and helps draw the eye right into the framed photo. She did a super job choosing rustic elements (chicken wire, strip with brads, wooden frame, etc.) that complimented this page beautifully, along with the rustic colors! Take the time to read her journaling as she unveils the mystery of what it is. But who built the nest??? Hmmmm…Awesome standout!
Live.Love.Laugh. by lizzie5 is absolutely gorgeous! Liz Toms is one of our guest bloggers this month and I am a huge fan of her artistry! First of all, just look at that adorable, larger than life, photo! She cropped it perfectly for a full page look and the art splatters around it really frame her face. I love her title work and the around the frame word art. Cute elements in the corner along with the date strip, complete this page beautifully! Stellar standout Liz!
Modern by beaute Wow! This jumped right out of the gallery and is certainly a gorgeous, artsy page in every way! Love the title work and the blended image to the right. It looks like an old castle to me. All of the imagery, including her eye, really pops and the composition is magical. Fantastic standout!
Winter Shadow by Miki is a beautiful, wintry page! It is sure fitting for January’s winter weather. I adore how she cropped the photo and then created such a strong reflection/shadow. The blues absolutely pop on the dark background and give it a chilly feel. The snowflakes, swirls and the word art are perfect for her photo. Brr is right! Brilliant standout!
It’s So Cold Outside by AnikA rounds out my pick for today. I guess winter is definitely on my mind. This is a page rich with gorgeous textures and colors. I love the wintry photo and how it is framed with such great dimension! The blending and brush work, along with the word art and elements, truly make this page a work of art. Beautiful standout!
I hope you enjoyed today’s Gallery Standouts and feel inspired to create a page or two for your own albums and galleries! The titles are direct links to the artist’s pages and I’m sure they’d love it if you clicked on them and left some comments of your own. Until next time, bundle up and stay warm if you’re freezing like me. Have a wonderful week!
Loved these, Jana!
