Another spectacular day here in Minnesota and another spectacular day in the online galleries!  When I glanced back through my choices, I realized that each of them showcases a great place to spend some vacation time!  So let’s get to vacationing!

Carnival Ride by lwentkie is such a happy page!  It made me smile when I saw it in the gallery.   The color combination is perfect for the photos.  And, speaking of the photos, how cute are they!  She has created such a sense of fun with the colors, the stars scattered throughout the page, and the use of the circular  and star-shapes for the photos.  Every component of this page is well-chosen and well-placed.  Love it!

Love the vibes I get from Paradise by Conny.  I’m a big “color” person and I love how she has chosen colors that coordinate with her photos and her tropical theme.  The photo cluster that covers nearly the entire page is spectacular.  Love how she’s used the strips of paper along with the doily and flowers to provide a background for the photos. This is another page that makes me smile!  Fun, fun, fun!

The wood background paper is the perfect backdrop for marinapj’s Disney’s Whispering Canyon Cafe.  Love how she’s matted the photos with strips of patterned paper and then added realistic looking elements to reinforce her subject and journaling.  Awesome title work too.  Looks like a fun time!

When I saw kata-tjuta by mum2gnt in the gallery, I fell in love with the beautiful colors and the awesome brush work.  I love how the composition leads you from the photo to the title/poem, and then to the definition transfer.  The poem by Australian poet Dorothea Mackellar is called My Country and you can hear her recite the complete poem on youtube (click on title of the poem for link).  Gorgeous page!

I’ve never been to Greece but Naoussa-Greece by Arumrose makes me want to visit.  I love how the soft beauty of the blended photo is accented by the angled strips of paper and the various elements.  The brush work beneath the circular photo is the perfect accent.  Beautiful page for a beautiful location!

The masked photo on 2 (July Random Challenge) by cfile is so amazing.  I love the two splats on each side that are a part of the mask!  The journaling is beautiful and says “….2 special people enjoying the peacefulness of the ocean waves as they break upon the beach…….2 special people walking hand in hand…..2 special people embracing the splendor of nature and life together.)  The gray and blue create a calm feel to this awesome page.

Thanks for spending a portion of your day with me and my choices for today.  I hope you enjoyed them and were inspired by them.  I know the artists would appreciate it if you would visit the gallery and leave them a message about their work.  The titles and images are linked to make it easy.
