Happy May everyone! Spring is in full bloom around here and I just love this time of year! Flowering trees are my favorite and it’s so nice to hear all of the birds singing early every morning. It’s as if all of nature is happy once again. The galleries seem to be bursting with all kinds of wonderful layouts. I keep going back and forth trying to pick only 6 for today. That’s not such an easy task, as there are so many I’d like to choose. This is Jana and I’ll share today’s standouts with you. Enjoy!

I’ve said it before, I’m a huge fan of Margje’s creativity! Every moment totally popped out of the gallery and I think it’s such a amazing page! I adore the colors and the photo treatment. Placing the focal point in the center of the page works beautifully here and all of the masking is gorgeous. The bold title and word art stretched across the bottom really make a bold statement and I think the stitching and little flowers really pull everything together. Awesome standout!

I found this lovely spring page by anke. Take in the beauty reminds me of the flowering trees in our backyard and really speaks to my heart. I love how she blended the main photo and then placed smaller, framed photos off to its side. The loops seem to encircle the gorgeous pink blossoms, drawing your attention right to them. This has a beautiful, soft color palette and the blended striped paper is wonderful. Very artsy standout!

Wow! You are My Heart  by JustTrace is a very powerful page! The composition, the monochromatic scheme and the use of white space are perfect.  The journaling, which may be a song or poem, will tug at your heartstrings and is simply beautiful. I think the placement, partially behind the frame is very effective, as is the angle of that black & white photo and spillover. The simple elements and title are the perfect touches to complete this page. Stunning standout!

Worlds Greatest Wilds by Angelique’s Scraps is so wild and fun! Who doesn’t love a zebra or two ? This is just fantastic and so creative! I love how the main zebra is stepping out from the frame and the addition of the bright butterfly really pops against the stripes. Bits and pieces of the the foliage from the jungle also enhance this composition. Wild standout!

Here’s another beautiful page by MiekSter. MAY Journaling Challenge is very colorful, yet it also has some great white space. I love that black & white photo of those three girlfriends and the word art looks fabulous placed right on it. I think it must be a selfie! Something I find very creative is the diagonal design with the pops of color in one corner and then faded in the opposite color. Very cool standout!

Okay, there must be something wild in the air today. Look at this one! WalkOnTheWildSide Africa by dwagner is just terrific! The blended photo background is beautiful and I love the colors. Those hippos are awesome and those small, connected frames across the page really makes everything pop. I never would have thought to do that. The cute banner and title word art are spot on and they complete this page. A very “hip” standout!

Those are my six picks for today. I hope you love them as much as I do and feel inspired to scrap some of your favorite photos. I added links to every page so feel free to check them out closer and even leave a comment or two for the artist. Have a wonderful rest of the week and see you next time!
