Hi guys, hope everyone is well and starting a great weekend. As usual, I started getting geared to write this post early (at about 19:00 to be precise)  but, as life has that nagging way of interfering with all my scrapping things,  I ended up here with you again at precisely 03:24 am …so I will try my best to be brief as not only I am extremely tired but we also got the news that one of our dear, so loved member of our community lost her husband today.  If you know Trista and want to make your self present or even help in some way, there is a post on Facebook explaining how. ETA: I did need to go sleep at some point so I am writing the edited post on my English morning with coffee!

On the other hand, showing the always soothing cloud’s silver lining,  the day made the galleries so full of beauty that I have quiet a few of the most amazing pages posted, and it makes my heart sing to see the season arriving and ..well, I just couldn’t resist the awesomeness, so a few more than usual.

I am going to get started with the core of the page being focused in photo that speaks loud: Christmas Baking by someone I am sure needs no introduction: Erin aka mimisgirl. This photo is so powerful, so amazingly thought through to  fit this very moment…love also the super elegant stitches and the gorgeous little cluster in the bottom. Pure gold.

Following dreamy photos and dreamy events, here is another super page by Biancka that also speaks loud, an amazing visual realization of a dream so many of us have… not only the photo is super and super well blended here, but those little details of color and perfection in her clusters enhance and delight while taking us all the way to that  land of amazing dreams 🙂

Going back to the festive season, I fell in love with  this page , Comfort and Joy by EllenT.  There isn’t a page of hers that doesn’t make my heart jump with joy, but some are so very special and this is that kind… the amazing build of the tree with paper bits, the richness with all the elements and still so clean and bringing so much light with the  close up photo, all sealed by season words starting on the tree and finished with the piece of word art with amazing shadows: just amazingly gorgeous work!!!!!

To carry on with some of the most amazing scrappers we have all over,  the DYD Mantel from RebeccaH: a beauty in the composition, her whole work is always gorgeous, impeccable. Now this is beyond amazing, the way she took her photo and incorporated finishing the mantel piece with digital elements....the shadows are so amazing that the sense of space and depth are just perfect!!!!!!

Another super idol of mine, Carol aka Iowan with this marvelous page: Connor Finds Perfect Tree.  For someone like me who has trouble finding good patterns combination,  this page is paradise. The papers couldn’t work any better, the photo is awesome and so much fun, those cluster so perfect along with perfect shadows, this has Stand Out written all over!!!!

I am always delightfully surprised by some of the amazing scrappers we have in Creative Teams who seem to have a never ending, amazing imagination when it comes to scrapping kits to make them fit on the theme, even if they don’t have photos that relate to one particular kit, they will always surprise me with pages where the “creative” is the operating word. Such is the case in this, Project House by Anny-Libelle, a gorgeous composition that brings humor apart from her usual awesome skills: the perfect  clustering, gorgeous shadows and that touch of brilliancy that makes me want to have a DIY project so I can start a page with this!

And whilst on the subject of creativity… I found this awesome page, 70’s Road Trippin’ by conniemiles, that not only brought me back to my teens & early twenties with a smile, but surprised me with a template design that made me want to go scrap this there and then! The VW Beetles were the most common car in Brazil at that time, and the take on the template is such a perfection, the choice of colors, the amazing photos of the Carpenters & Osmonds that also add a touch of nostalgia with the photo treatment. Everything here is in sync with the decade, perfect choices and superb shadows put this together into a fabulous page that stood out to me from the thumbnail and kept me looking at it in awe!!!!

Last but, oh so very not least… an amazing art journal page leaning on the abstract but so powerfully figurative: The Power of You by dlhoffer. I’m not a lover of the abstract, as much as I know there is art and beauty in every period of art development all over the world, I can’t find much of anything on the Cubists or any paint of Pollock (for which in both cases, people sometimes pay an absurd amount of money) but here, the incorporation of the linear, strict and strong lines, the choice of bold deep red together with that amazingly powerful head/face (which I was delightfully surprised to find out is actually part of the kit) her blending that is masterful and the powerfully awesome tittle take this to a piece of art that speaks very very loud to me. I am also delighted to find a page by Lisa whom I had not come across for quiet a while, always a delight!

With this I will say Good Bye to you all, hope you find as much beauty and inspiration as I do in these awesome pages, these amazing artists sharing their talent and soul with us. If so, remember you can get to the original gallery by clicking on the high-lit name of the LO and author, we all know how a beautiful, heartfelt word can change our day and make it so much better. Have a great weekend!

  1. Here I am at 3:00 in the morning, tired of counting sheep, so I decided to get up and read for awhile on my iPad,… bored with that I peruse Facebook and what a wonderful middle-of-the-the night surprise. Thanks so much; I’m so absolutely delighted to be featured with this stunning group of layouts. Your comments are so sweet. THANK YOU.

  2. What a great start to my day. Thank you, Cynthia, for including my page with all of these other gorgeous works of art. You have made me so very happy!

  3. Thank you so much for featuring my 70’s Road Trippin’ layout. I had such a fun time strolling down Memory Lane to the 70’s when I was young and carefree. I’m happy that you were able to take that stroll too!!
