Wow, it was a busy day today and that’s why I’m a little later than usual with the post. Hopefully, the awesome pages I’ve chosen for today will make it worth the wait!
I am a huge fan of Arte Banale. Her page for the Color Challenge Blue Lemons is a stunning example of what keeps drawing me to her work! She has an amazing talent for using brushes! This piece is so soft and yet so strong. I love the placement of the title and word art and the cluster at the top right is gorgeous. One of my favorite parts of the page is the border … it’s the perfect finishing touch. Gorgeous page!
Dady is another of my favorite artists and when I saw her page Nuage come across my Facebook feed, I knew it would be a contender for the GSOs today. That photo is so striking and I LOVE her choice of black and white with gold accents for the color scheme. The gold complements the eye color of that gorgeous cat! Love the look of the striped paper behind the photo. Stunning page!
I love to see techniques used on photos and the sketch technique wombat146 has used on the photo on Rainbows is amazing! I am also a fan of large photo pages so this one really struck a chord with me. The sepia tone of the photo is a beautiful backdrop for the flower/word strip cluster. The brush work is awesome and is perfectly placed. Love this page!
When I saw dance by AnikA68 in the gallery, I was mesmerized. The light effects are so gorgeous against the black background. I love how the composition flows across the page from edge to edge! Her shadowing on the dancer is perfect. This is just a stunning piece of art!
My next standout by P’tiscrap is titled surf and smile and it did, indeed, make me smile. The background paper is so unique but works beautifully with the strip frame. Love the placement of the words in the title! Those photos are very cool and the out of bounds creates so much energy on the page. The addition of the small amount of brush work and the tag with the date complete this fun page! Love it!
I am not a fan of Quick Pages (probably because I don’t have a knack for creating pages with them) but Be Your Own Kind of Beautiful by Rosie demonstrates just how powerful a Quick Page can become in the right hands! She has added her own touch to the QP (I keep studying it and finding new pieces she’s added) and created an absolutly gorgeous piece of art.
That’s it for today. I hope you found my choices inspiring! If you get the chance to check them out in the galleries (the images and titles are linked), please leave a comment for the artist. Everyone loves to hear that someone has enjoyed their art!
