Hello friends! Another Monday has rolled around and I do hope yours was a good one. Finding lots of wonderful layouts in the galleries today was not hard, but narrowing them down to just six sure was. The galleries were brimming over with inspiration. Sit back, relax and let’s get started with today’s standouts.

Faces in the Wind by TrishD.

Trish is a master scrapper! She loves to work with a variety of styles and products and she always makes me want to try something new. This page is no exception and it really popped out in the gallery. It’s a gorgeous and creative art journal page with colors that simply dazzle. I love the blowing hair with the various shades of pink, red and orange. The brush work is absolutely stunning and all of the multiple layers work together beautifully. I love the butterfly and the curled mesh!

hot air balloon in France by readstoomuch

This page took my breath away! The photo with the red hot air balloon and the reflection in the water are gorgeous. It is blended perfectly in that spill frame.  This could be a page in a travel magazine. It sure makes me wish I could have been there. The vintage balloon and overlays are a nice touch and so is the veneer title.

mark-dog by michele hillam

Isn’t this just darling? Cuddling with a fur baby will get me every time. But it’s the page design that caught my attention with this page. The placement of the photos and elements in the bottom left corner really draw the eye in and the speech bubble is so cute. The narrow column of journaling also leads right into the photos. I like the mix of the striped paper on the sides of the page with the grid paper.  The red stitching, the little banner and the pops of red really tie everything together beautifully.

life will be beautiful again one day by *gina*

Wow! This is such a powerful page! With only the title to read, you are left to your own imagination, as to what this young woman might be going through. I think the black and white photo is stunning and it is blended beautifully into the page with a subtle fade. There are some awesome layers and clusters of brush work, paints and elements. Their placement on one side are a perfect compliment to the photo without disrupting it. Brilliant page!

Working on myself by Jana_NJ

I’m a huge fan of Jana’s artistry! Her digital layouts are always wonderful and today, I discovered she also creates hybrid pages. This means she used some digital components (printed out) along with traditional paper, paints, elements, etc. I love the scene she has created here in her art journal. The simple journaling is something I’m sure a lot of us can relate to. I love the vibrant colors and all of the yummy textures. I bet she really enjoyed working on this. It inspires me to go work in my own art journal.

Game On! by marnie333

Rounding out my picks for today is the very striking layout. Every time I look at this one, I see something else. That’s always a good sign! What a great blended focal photo at the bottom of the page, supported with the textured smaller one in the top right corner. Love, love, love all the text and word art infused across the page. The black and red against the black really makes this one pop. Great brush work too!

Contributing to this blog was a great way to start out my week. I hope reading it is a great start to your week as well. Enjoy the inspiration and you can click on the title links for more details from the artists about each page. You might leave them a comment if you visit their galleries. Have a wonderful rest of the week and I’ll be back again soon.
