Hello Everyone!

My heart goes out to everyone that has been affected by the major hurricanes that have hit our country in recent weeks. The devastation is so wide spread and will take a very long time to recover. Please know our thoughts & prayers are with you.

I have been busy working on layouts of my own today and decided it was time for a much-needed break. There’s nothing better than finding inspiration from others as I always do when I go gallery hopping. I hope you like my picks as much as I do. Let’s get started!

These Adirondack chairs just seem to draw me in. come sit by pam p reminds me of a similar place my hubby & I visited last fall in New England. This is such a lovely, serene photo and the golden tones are perfect for the upcoming autumn season. Beautiful masking and blending really bring the focus right in and the textures are wonderful. Love those golden leaves too! “come sit”…I’d love to!

There’s nothing sweeter than a newborn baby and this next layout is just adorable in every way! Hello Baby by flsz_23 is the perfect way for this artist to start her baby’s album. Those photos right after his birth are amazing and so incredibly sweet! I love the blue woodgrain background and all of the cute elements she placed on this page. After reading her journaling, it sounds like he was ready to come out into the world. Cute title too!

Message in a Bottle by Angeljet is so beautiful! I love the soft, blended colors and the bit of seagrass around the bottle in the sand. The letter or message in the bottle is so eloquently written and you can feel the emotions as you read it; truly heartfelt. The last line brought a tear to my eye.

Can you say “Girl Power?” How fun is this layout! Girl Power by Sabyne jumped out at me all of its quirkiness and bright pops of color! Love the black & white photo and color scheme; it’s almost like a grungy chalkboard and all of the white text and word art are perfect for this. A pretty yellow border, some cute little flowers, a butterfly and splashes of paint bring everything together beautifully!

Wow! Someday by cfile is stunning!  I love the large, artsy portrait and the textures running through it. Take a minute to ready the well-placed journaling. I think we could all take that to heart. The mint green along with the faded gray-striped paper suits this page beautifully. The little peach flower is the perfect accent to bring out the lip color.

I leave you with this burst of color…Colour Run by tracermajig! What’s really unique about this layout is that the artist created her own background from doilies and clipping masks! How awesome is that! The colors coordinate with her son’s photos, well his shirt anyway, and also the title of the event. Very cool! Love the black & white striped border and photo mats. Black is the one color that can keep everything grounded in a composition. Great page!

So there you have it, my six standouts for today! Have a wonderful rest of the week and I hope to see what you bring to the galleries real soon!
