Since I did my last blog post, we have a beautiful new baby granddaughter in our house. Of course, I’ve been taking lots of pictures of her and thinking about ways to scrap them. When I came to look through the galleries today, this first page jumped right out at me.
I absolutely love the white space design and tonal tinting of the different photos in Portrait of Peyton by Zlemon. The pink polka dot paper is perfect as is the quote by Julia Roberts – a sweet and clean page.
What a great perspective on the photo in this next page, Westminster Abbey by Wendymck. I love the monochromatic look and the trailing cluster with the camera, while the blending and wonderful paint and brushwork layered in the background add so much interest to the page.
My next pick is Cocktail Smarties by Meryl. I couldn’t resist those adorable little faces in this fun series of photos beautifully arranged on the page. The touches of red in the photos really pop against the black background, while the choice of gold for the journaling, titlework and stamps balances the red and black perfectly and creates a cohesive page.
Takekwondo by Scrappin2girls is my next pick. I love the clean graphic look of this next page, with the great mix of fonts and qcode addition is absolutely awesome work! Its always difficult to get good photos during activity classes, when there’s so much going on in the background. The artist has avoided the problem here by extracting two photos and placing them perfectly on the page.
Christmas layouts are beginning to pop up in the gallery now which brings me to my last two picks today.
Christmas by Miekster has a sweet black and white photo accented by layers of colorful background mats, then framed by colorful handwritten word art. I love how she’s overlapped some of the word art onto the photo – a delightful seasonal page!
Merry Christmas by magnolia 2907 is another lovely seasonal page. I love the shelf she’s created with the layered paperstrips, the adorable photo, little scene with the santa and trees, then the perfectly shadowed sleigh dangling down, draws your eye to the lower word art and accents. Fabulous!
These are my picks for today! Congratulations if you are featured, and, if you love the pages, please don’t forget to leave a little love for the artists. Each LO is linked to the original gallery. Thanks for stopping by.
Thank you so much JANE for choosing my page. You make my day. Congrats to the others.
