Happy Monday and welcome to a brand new week. This is tax day if you live in the U.S. so I hope you don’t find yourself waiting in line to mail your return. If you are owed a refund this may be a happy day for you, otherwise just take a peek at the lovely projects I’ve found while wandering the galleries today to cheer you. It’s Beatrice and here are my picks.

Love You by shannamay

There are quite a few creative touches on this layout beginning with the stitched grid comprised of overlapping stitched frames. This makes a beautiful foundation for the blended florals and lacy doilies as well as the adorable photo. I like the barely perceptible title work and text behind the cluster as well as the label in the bottom corner of the page.

Anna Lift: Colored Eggs by zlemon

The gray background is an unexpected yet ideal background for the subject of this page. The masked paint tin works really well as a background for the photo. The paint brush with its sketchy tip and drips is so realistic. The swath of white paint topped by green looks like it was created with the brush. I like the mix of fonts used in the word art and the way the words are placed both horizontally and vertically to add to the flow of the page.

I Can’t Even by Dalis

I always find “about me” pages very interesting. Cutting out some circles while placing others on top is a clever modification of the template. The shadows on this page are amazing particularly on the curled edges of some of the circles and the taped word strip lifted in the center. The title work and splashes of paint complete the page flawlessly.

The Simple Life Card by oscaralley

This artist always creates such pretty cards. I love the spring vibe of this one and of course the message is a good one. I like the way certain parts of the card are popped up and the string bow is a sweet touch. Lining the matching envelope with plaid paper is the perfect finishing touch.

Ocean by Neverland Scraps

What first attracted me to this page was the stunning triangle paper piece, folded and buttoned down at the edge of the page. The curling and shadowing are outstanding. The cluster in the center of the page is charming and the perspective on the photo draws us in. The splashes of blue paint and sandy bits add to the ocean-like feel and the bright blue journal card is the perfect landing spot for the quote.

In Bloom by Keeley~B

I’m more than ready for spring and this page is helping me on my way. The sweet floral print makes for the ideal white space background while the black text, stitching and title-work are an interesting contrast. I like the bit of realistic foliage peeking out from behind the photo.

My post is complete so I’ll leave you with the hope that you find the time to click through the links and give these well deserving artists some love. Thanks and have a great week!
