Happy Wednesday! Hope you’re all well and looking forward to sliding down to the weekend! You’ve given me a tough job of narrowing down my mid-week standouts but here’s what popped for me today!
I love the rainbow of colour on Blackkathy’s page entitled J and O Comedy Hour. The textured blending and the shadowing of the alpha cut-out is so masterfully done, I also want to learn how to do that! I like that the minimal use of elements and the subtle textured backdrop allows the alpha feature and the sweet photo’s to really steal the show. Absolutely gorgeous!
As Summer winds down, Enjoy Summer by Dady captures the end of the season with it’s beautiful, soft tones. I love the perspective of the image that is perfectly masked and complimented by the delicate brushwork and stitched detail. Finished off with the little heart and title work, this is such a blissful page!
Mine by AmandaJ is beautifully graphic with its mix of angles, elements and brushwork and the colour palette immediately draws attention. It’s also a lot of fun and I can only echo the sentiments that FaceTime makes it so easy for us to keep in touch with loved ones no matter where they are in the world. Truly eye catching!
Keeping with angles for a moment, check out the geometrics of Abery-Trucmuche by katell. I love the mix here with the little cluster offset to the right, the timeless word art and the inclusion of the map to the left, not to mention the differing tones of the image as it spans the geo’s. I also love that this seaside town is about 85 miles from me… and I rarely see pages, if ever, of this part of the world in which I live! A treat of a page!
Jheri has worked well with the muted tones of grey from the adorable image she used for her page entitled Blessed, adding a little teal and peach with the neutral backdrop, photo mat and horizontal cluster that anchors the page. The image is perfect for the spill frame – just look at those eyes! And I really like the blocked title alpha too. So beautiful!
A feminine colour palette is always a winner! Happy Life by sylvia just has me mesmerised with all its loveliness. A mix of brush work/blending with some elements shadowed here and there makes for some depth and great interest. Add a pretty girl and some large word art and you’ve got yourself a standout! Totally love this!
I hope you’ve enjoyed the works of art that I’ve brought to you today and that you’re inspired to document some of your own stories. And, when you have a moment, please click on the links about and leave a comment or two for the artists. In the meantime, take care and I’ll see you in the galleries!
