We’re on snow day #12 here in northeast Iowa. And the forecast doesn’t look very promising. So I searched the galleries for a little warmth and cheer and this is what I found…

Since I’m not on very good terms with winter right at this moment, the title on this pretty page “Last Days of Winter” spoke to me. The stunning brushwork is the perfect background for the bold red and green papers and elements. I love the crocheted snowflakes scattered throughout and the little pop of yellow in the buttons.

I love the way Jo created this classic bulletin board page! The photos mixed with the fun embellishments are perfect. And the attachments; push pins, staples, stitching, and tacks — add to the realistic feel of the page. Such a fun layout!

The clever circle photo mat makes this page stand out and highlights the subjects expertly. I love the alpha used for the title and how the letters are random sizes and alignments. And notice the fun compass! The beachy background paper finishes off this relaxing page.

This page made me smile! The elements and pretty colors are so whimsical. I love the polka dot pattern flower shapes and the colorful title. This is such a fun page it even make “cooties” look cute!

Here’s a fabulous example of a great photo block page. The tiny clusters, the word strips, the doily layered with the pattern papers — make the blocks feel like mini pages! I love how she added the pink heart ellie to the title. The black and white photos work so well with this colorful page!

I chose this page because I need a little summer vibe right now. And what a fantastic summer page it is! I love the watercolor background with the matching stitching. The big flowers and palm leaves are a bold statement, and the little fish and drink stickers are absolutely adorable.
