Happy snowy Saturday everyone! I’m bundled up here at home waiting for yet another snowstorm. Sound like a perfect day to browse the galleries and look for scrapping inspiration, right?! That’s my plan for my day at least!

SSL-Big Picture by Jane_Bond7 : In light of us experiencing yet another snowstorm here in Minnesota, I thought I’d choose this stunning winter scene page to share with you. I love pages with full page photos … particularly photos that are this amazing! I love the photo cluster with the detailed, up-close photos along with the beautiful, understated title work. And look on the bottom right. I love the way she included the details of the photos stamped on the bottom. It makes me think of old photos you run across where they’ve handwritten info in white on top of the photos. What a stunning page!

imagine by Mother Bear : I’ve got another lovely page to share with you today. Isn’t that photo beautiful? I love that she converted the photo to black and white and used the pops of bold red and blue in the elements and the softer colors in the background papers. The torn paper strips are a nice touch to pull your attention even more to the photo. If you’ve seen my posts before, you know I’m always drawn to layouts with super shadow work and this one certainly has that – it’s perfect. Seriously, check out the shadow work on the photo and the string. I love the title work and the way she aded some white paint under the sentiment to really draw your eye to it. Beautiful!

Around Here by IntenseMagic : There are so many awesome layouts in the galleries but my eyes were really drawn to this page. First off, of course, that baby is so sweet! I like the simple cream background and the circles of bold patterned papers leading your eye through the page along with the addition of the little cameras and blue and yellow dimensional flowers. The little flower stamp behind the photos under the word tag and flower cluster is a nice touch. What a sweet page!

Kalbarri National Park by ~jak : I really enjoy looking at travel pages. This photo laid atop the travel journal book, cards and elements is perfect. There are so many fun little details included on this page. I’m noticing the great paints and fun brushwork behind it all, the little tags and flowers and stitching, etc. I always think it looks so cool when people tuck in empty photo frames behind their photo and element clusters but for some reason I never think of doing that on my pages. Hmmm. Maybe I’ll think of doing that on my next page! And of course … lets notice the great shadowing on … well … everything! I love the way the photo is curling up from the page. Lovely scrapping!

Marvelous Garden by Ludmila : I found another totally different style of page to share with you. The photo scene is beautiful and isn’t that little guy adorable? I love how she “painted” the photo onto the background paper. Notice the organic brushwork painting of the photo onto the background paper and how on the top of the photo she painted it with branches and leaves to mimic the dimensional flower she placed on top of the “framed” portion of the photo? I also love the dimensional water lillies and the lovely sentiment. Ahhh … makes me wish for summer!

Everyday Moments by anke : And last but certainly not least I’ve got one more page to share with you today. I’m always drawn to anke’s pages when I see them in the gallery … they’re always lovely. Reading her journaling I like that she stopped to take a photo of a scene she passes by frequently and stopped to appreciate it’s beauty. I love the way the photo is in two frame and the cluster of elements with the the camera and the second little cluster with the awesome compass. I love the muted brushwork behind it all and the brushwork border around the page. What a beautiful “everyday moment” kind of page!

Well that’s it for me today. As always there are so very many beautiful pages in the galleries to choose from but I had to limit myself to only these six gems. I hope you enjoyed my picks for today. Have a great day and I hope you get in some scrapping today!

Barbara
