Good morning and happy Monday. Here in Michigan the heat has finally lessened and we are enjoying a gorgeous, temperate day. I made certain to browse the galleries early so I’d be able to get outside and appreciate this weather while it lasts. It’s Beatrice on the blog and here are my picks.
I really assumed the balloons were part of the photo the artist has so seamlessly added them to her page. The texture and masking is superb and using the doodle to draw the eye to the page title is very creative.
I like the vertical page design and the way everything is placed along the edge of the page. Positioning the sketchy daisy behind the real one is a lovely technique. Adding the title along the curve of the doodle highlights it on the page.
The long shadows in this photo captured my attention immediately. I know this artist used a template but she adjusted it to keep the focus on the photo. Adding the word art to the empty space finishes the page off just right.

This photo series is amazing. Extracting the scooter and using the result as a design element is ingenious. The elements and papers chosen fit the subject perfectly. I like the red stitching used to tack the photos to the page.
Initially it was the cute photos that attracted me to this page. Looking closely I observed that the shadows are very realistic and then read that this layout was created for a challenge. This is something I need to work on so I’ll be taking a further look. I like the selective framing and the splashes of blue paint that move the eye diagonally across the page. The bits of gesso in the corners add just the right amount of texture.
This is such a pretty, colorful page. I like the way the hand-drawn circle is used to frame the sweet photo. The yellow paper strips and lace are the perfect contrast to the blue background paper. Gorgeous, artsy layout!
That’s all for me today. I’m heading out to clean up my yard. We had high winds so there are branches are everywhere. I’m grateful that we didn’t lose power as so many did. I hope it’s all restored for them today. If you have a minute just click through the links and leave some love.
Oh Beatrice… thank you so much for choosing my layout for GSOs. I typically don’t build off one side; I was inspired by a challenge over at The Lilypad. I’m happy that you liked the results.
Thank you so much Beatrice. I think the other selections are just fabulous and I feel so privileged to be included along side of them.
WOW! Thank you for choosing my layout. Feel privileged to have mine selected and included with all the other gorgeous layouts!
Thank you so much for choosing my page! You made my day! Congrats to the others!
