Good morning everyone. It’s a rainy Sunday here in Minnesota. I can hear the rain come down and the thunder booming … it’s a perfect morning to sit here with a cup of coffee and browse the galleries for some creative inspiration. What a great way to start my day!

Captain America – Sunday FUNday by AshScraps | Oh my gosh! I absolutely love this page. When you capture a photo as awesome as this one it simply screams to be blown up and used big and prominent on a page like the artist did on this page. With that great photo, the page really didn’t need a lot of other “stuff” to make it shine. I like the papers tucked behind the photo and the way she angled the dot paper. I like the journaling card with the cute story and the way she anchored it with the staples and highlighted it with the string bow. The “captured” tag and the little heart on the top are a perfect accent for this adorable page!

Winter White by earlofoxford | This page is stunning. I love the soft muted mix of white, grey and light blue paired with the snowy white photo. The artist included a great, varied mix of snowflakes – brush work, dimensional, pins, stickers. Awesome! I like creased texture on the white circle paper and the paper strip on the left. Beautiful! While it’s a lovely, snowy picture … I sure am glad the weather is finally spring-like here in Minnesota and I can be done with snow for a while! 🙂

Best Mom in the World by Physioscrapper | What a lovely tribute to mom! I really like that she used photos of her mom from trips she went on with her over the years and that she framed the photos in hearts. It’s clever the way she masked the letters for Mom with varying patterned papers and used the collection of heart photos to make up the “O”. What a pretty addition of the flowers and buttons and beads; and I simply have to mention … her shadow work is right on point! Perfect! What a lovely page. I bet her mom loves it!

Muse2_school daze MS/HS by Janisn | This page is fantastic! The artist’s journaling recapping her high school experience is something that’s good to document. I really love the way she’s got the sketches in the background and the dimensional popped palm tree and car and books. I love the way she tilted and set the graduation cap atop the journaling and the typed text in the background. This is really a super page!

Sunflower Happy by Jana | I don’t think Jana has ever created a page that I haven’t absolutely loved. Never, actually. 🙂 This one is no different … it’s stunning! I love that photo and the way she’s got a brushed and sketched sunflower in the background. The distressed Soak in the Sunshine brushed text is lovely and I love the simple “This Makes Me Happy” title in the clean and simple font. I really like the way she’s got the photo in three stacked frames and the little butterfly set atop it all. What a GORGEOUS page!

Shine by mrivas | Maribel is another one of those scrappers who designs a great piece of art each and every page she makes and this page is no different. I love those cute little frames that I’m guessing she transformed so they’re mirror images of each other … the stripes on the outsides kind of pull your gaze in to the page. I like the way she wrapped her journaling around the date tag and the cute strips of patterned papers tucked behind and in front of the photos. I love the metal word “shine” for the title and the way she’s got the long pennant over the journal card. You can see she put a lot of work into her shadowing; it’s so realistic and I love that on a digi page. Just look at the tan long pennant on the yellow striped patterned paper. It’s kind of pulling up from the page from the weight of the eyelet and it’s kind of holding down the journal card on the edge but the card is still popping up a bit in the middle. Yes. I’m kind of a shadowing geek. 🙂 In any event … this is a beautiful page!

I hope you enjoyed my picks for today! Until next time … happy scrapping!
