Happy Fall, ya’ll, from sunny Florida, and Shana Tova for all who celebrate! Even though school has started and Rosh Hashanah has come and gone, it’s hard to get into the Fall spirit when the temperature is 92 degrees outside. I heard stories of SNOW in the northwest over the weekend and my sister tells me that it’s in 60’s where she lives, but it will be a while before there are any noticeable temperature changes around here. So, how wonderful it was to peruse the galleries and see so many gorgeous fall layouts. In fact, I decided to start the blog with one!
Fabulous Foliage by lizziet5 is a gorgeous artsy fall layout. I love her blending and shadowing of the photo. Those color palettes behind the photo are just adorable, as are the fall leaves. I also like how she clipped it down on one side with a label and staple. A little lace and an artsy scribble complete this gorgeous layout.
Another fall layout that caught my eye is Autumn Juices by Pantherka. Her gorgeous colors jumped right out of the gallery at me! I really like what she did with the photo, perching the little girl on top of the apples. Such fun! The scattered leaves and branches and paint balance everything and really make this layout shine. Lovely!
Next up, is Laugh by Terhi Koskinen. I adore everything about this layout – it brought a smile to my face as soon as I saw it. I love the vertical design and her use of the off-centered photos. AREN’T THOSE DOODLED FRAMES FABULOUS??!!! The paint drops behind all the popped flowers give a lot depth and texture to design. Great framed paper choices, too. Fabulous!
I love the photo in Happy by nietis. A father and son sharing a moment at school just melts my heart. I love the floral clusters on this page. And the paint behind them and the photo really add so much texture. Her addition of unexpected elements (twine heart, air balloon circle word art, to name a few), really gives an air of whimsy to the layout. What a beautiful memory!
Go Girl by Shank.heather is full of whimsy! There are so many things to love about this layout: the adorable photo effects; the great cut-out word art, doodles and elements, the black and white and pink colors. So much to love. Her element choices are fabulous and say so much about the subject of her layout. Great job!
Lastly, we have Feeling Okay by Memories.matter. I was attracted to the layout by the black clouds which made me want to take a closer look. I’m so glad I did. I can totally relate to this page. What made me choose it for a Gallery Standout was the beautiful design and carefully placed elements. I love the raindrops, broken heart circle, stapled frame AND the large flower of happiness and arrow pointing to “better off.” A gorgeously designed page that speaks volumes. Beautiful!
That’s it for today – please visit the galleries and leave some loving for all of the great work out there. And don’t forget to save some of these to your favorites!!
Thank you very much and I appreciate it.
