It was only a sunny smile,
and little it cost in the giving.
But like the morning light
it scattered the night
and made the day worth living.
~ F. Scott Fitzgerald
A sunny smile, a fresh cup of coffee, a hot shower, the ridiculously loud screeching brakes on the garbage truck… whatever gets you going in the morning… rise and shine!! It’s time for a stroll through the galleries and my picks for today’s standouts!
The Golden Days by Psychozoe
I love that this artist used the colors of the photos as inspiration for her papers and elements, or vice versa! It’s an exceptional example of multi-purposing a kit. I adore all the paper and chipboard elements mixed with the textured flowers. Her shadowing and layering are perfection!
Joy by Ferdy
Such a pretty page. The clean paper blocks, the tiny scatter of stars, the well-placed ellies, and the simple cluster work together to create a lovely layout. But what makes this a standout to me is the fun way she added the paperclip and bow to the tag. I love it when I spot clever ideas I can scraplift!

What an incredible photo! Definitely the focus of this next layout. She used the perfect elements to enhance the focal photo without cluttering the page. I love the jaunty way she framed one of her smaller pictures. Great addition of the title and journaling. Standout page!
Mushroom Hunting Break by easyeyes4you
Oh my goodness spinart!! I absolutely love that this next artist included it in her layout. I really like that the rounded corners on the striped card are carried over onto her photos. Great use of the library card, and her stamping looks hand-painted. Thank you for sharing this fun page!
Portland Trip by scrappurple
First of all, scrappurple is the best username… so fun! And this page is awesome! I love the crazy stitching and the random little scribbles. Her title is perfect and I love her paper choices. I really like the inclusion of the ric-rac and notice the cute luggage doodle. Super funky fun page!
Girls of My Heart by quietgirl
I was intrigued by a recent layout from this last artist and decided to check out her gallery. When I saw this page I knew I wanted to include it in my post today. It’s just so simple and sweet, my favorite things! I love the journaling in the boxes and how she filled the last box with color. Her stamped image is lovely. And that title… Girls of My Heart… you may be seeing it on one of my pages soon!
I hope you enjoyed these wonderful pages as much as I did. Stop by the galleries today and share a virtual smile with your fav creative artists! It might make someone’s day a little sunnier, and it’s free!
