I imagine most are gearing for the weekend and I sincerely hope you have time to create something for yourself. It’s Beatrice on the blog and here are my picks for today.

2019 Oh Yes 3 Friends by Iowan@Heart

I do think it’s amazing when friends from far-away places have the chance to meet in real life. I like the way the messiness of this page contrasts with the cleanly framed photos. The journaling card is perfect for the subject and the splats of red pick up the pink in the shirt. The tucked in tag is just the right touch.

This is a gorgeous photo-less page. The triangle formation the artist used really helps with the flow. The black in the stamp, journal card and title work make for a cohesive project. The verbiage in the speech bubble is creative and adding the green leaves behind the journal card is unique.

The title of this page instantly drew me in. The journaling is amazing. I like the progression of the same photo cropped more and more closely. The partial framing complements the photo and I like the way the paint and brushwork is added to the page. The navy background frames everything perfectly.

The photo masked into the wood paper makes a lovely background for the page and the two smaller photos. I like the way the title work is barely legible atop the photo. The bit of pink and green added to the bottom of the layout frames the page so well and the stapled leaf is the ideal added embellishment.

Budapest, 2019 by margeda

I’ve seen quite a few pages that used an open book as the background for the layout.  This is the first one I’ve seen that places the book in smaller format on top of a background. The sketchy photo treatment in black and white creates a skilled backdrop for the color photos framed by the book pages. The large dried flower with hanging lantern contrasts beautifully with the style of the page.

This is such a pretty photo series. The colors the artist chose are perfect for it. The title work is unique with the cut out and framed papers. I like the way the journaling is placed about the page both horizontally and vertically as well as a bit inside the paper heart.

Before I head out I’d like to say I hope you will find a few minutes to leave this well deserving artists some love. Just click through the links to find the layouts. Thanks for reading along and have a great weekend!
