Monday, Monday. This always puts me in mind of a song that was introduced so many years ago now that many of you have never heard of it. Regardless it’s my day to post on the blog and I’ve spent quite a long time looking at all the beautiful projects in the galleries. It’s Beatrice on the blog and here are my picks for today.

Mining Remembered by nancyr

The vertical flow of this page is outstanding. I like the way it’s mimicked by the scissors carefully blended behind and into the background. The little bit of lace, paint and gesso as well as the large masked photo complete the page flawlessly.

These photos are amazing. I really like the way his face is lit by the light and the way his curls bounce in the sun. The horizontal flow is lovely especially as it’s backed by the masked photo of the yellow flowers. As an aside, yellow works for this sunny and delightful page.

Aprons Then and Now by grandma lynnie

Oh my goodness. For me this is what scrapping is all about and this then and now page is stellar. I like the way the framed photos are kept small and stitched to the page while the large, current photo is masked into the background. The heart charms are a sweet and ideal addition to the page.

Good Things by Joansmor

There’s nothing more appealing than a sunset photo and these are gorgeous. Stacking one framed photo atop the larger blend as well as the partially framed photo makes for an engaging design. I like the kraft circles she added to the top layer of the page and the paint she used to enhance the background.

Nuts by Chaos Lounge

The combination of shapes is what initially attracted me to this page. The varied patterned papers clipped to the shapes are the perfect background for the photo series. The clustering is so pretty and does not overwhelm the page. Make sure to read the journal card. I love the sentiment there.

This page is so pretty and I love the crop on the photo as well as the quote added to the blank space. The quote was created by the subject herself and make sure to read it when you click the link. I like all the stamping added to the background and I find the colors quite serene. The film strip points the eye to the photo and the repeated text emphasizes the topic of the page.

I’ve come to the end of my post and as always I hope that you will take the time to click through the links and leave these artists some love. Thanks and have a great week!

  1. Oh, thank you, Bea! That was so special. I haven’t been scrapping much lately so it was such a treat to have one of my pages noticed after my long time away! Congrats to all of today’s recipients, all well-deserved!
