Hello, hello. Joanna here today on the blog to bring you some outstanding layouts I’ve found in the galleries. But first, I wanted to encourage you to call your mom or dad, if you can, and tell them you love them. See, today is my mother’s heavenly birthday…she went to heaven just this past July. You don’t think about it every day while slogging through life, but it’s true, you never know how long you have on this earth with the people you love. So, please, if they are still here, give them a shout out and make sure they know they’re loved. Okay, onto the reason we’re here, those gallery standouts…

Peppermint Twist by ObiJanKenobi

I love, love, love pockets on pages (maybe because I have a hard time making them look right.) And I was immediately drawn to this red and white pocket page. The striped paper against the white background is really striking.  The touches of glitter around the outside of the page and the snowflake behind that Christmasy cluster adds such interest. The elements tucked into the pocket are perfectly holiday themed and the shadows are amazing.

Believe in the Magic by Ana Santos

What a delightful and magical page! The extraction is excellent and the look on the little girls face is so reminiscent of Christmas’ of the past. The holiday ornaments and elements hung and clustered throughout the page are so pretty and eye appealing.

I’m certainly a clusterer and more is better mentality when I scrap, but I was definitely in awe of this lightly decorated page. The few elements here and there really let that photo do the work, making the viewer “feel” the chill in the air. I really like how some of the rectangles and squares are on top of the white background and some are cut into the white background, giving visual interest.

Wow, I’m impressed with this photo less page! I like the art journal and grungy feel on the background of this page. Then layering up of all those gorgeous elements and word arts clipped to the ribbon, is stunning.

Heartfelt by Angelwings

Oh my, the clustering on this page is fantastic! The older photos in black and white and the color scheme of the kit looks fabulous together. The blending of the large photo of the bride coming down the stairs is really well done. And the brides smile steals the show.

The Christmas colors of this page really caught my eye today in the gallery. I like how the bright patterns are layered on top of the crisp white. The layout design is perfect for these photos. I love how the clips are used here and there to add dimension and interest. And it’s all tied together with that pretty checkered pink bow.

Hope you enjoyed my picks. If you have a moment, please go check these out and/or find some inspiration of your own. Until next time, happy scrapping!
