Good morning. If you are like me you are happy that the weekend is almost here. As February draws to a close the end of winter is in sight for those in MI and I am thankful for that. I’ve enjoyed wandering the galleries and I now present to you the layouts I chose today for the blog. It’s Beatrice and here are my picks.

Surfside by cfile

The use of a single photo across multiple frames is very creative and works so well here. The background chosen complements the photo as well. The corner cluster diagonally across from the bow draws the eye down and across the entire page.

This page really jumped out of the gallery for me. The stacked circles featuring both black and white as well as color photos makes for an appealing design. I like the way the threads, strings, paint and bows tie all the circles together. The date and title work really pop.

December Wedding The Flower Girl by lmaggs

It was all the small details that drew me to this layout. The borders are lovely as is the paper stacking behind the adorable photos. The single small flower supports the theme of the page. The left justified journaling mimics the left page border and makes for a cohesive design.

This is a gorgeous hybrid project. I like the white on white of the frames and the background. The colors in the papers really stand out when combined with the black and white photos. The flower the artist created on the left side is so cute. I like the way the scalloped paper edge is combined with the stitched stem and leaves.

Speaking of hybrid I’m loving the subject of this page. The clusters in the triangle formation are gorgeously shadowed. I like the masked and painted background as well as the tucked word strips. The little scattered bits complete the page flawlessly.

Jack at 14 by joelsgirl

The woodgrain in the background paper was chosen perfectly to point to the cute photo. I like the vertical design with the colorful clusters. The ribbon is placed just right to underline the photo. The painted heart scatter completes the page in just the right way.

I’ve come to the end of my post and as always I request that you click through the links and leave these deserving artists some love. Thanks and have a great weekend.

  1. Thanks, Beatrice, for the GSO. I truly appreciate the shoutout—and I’m in such good company too. Oh, this design was so much fun to do, I got the revisit my favorite layouts from the past year.
