Hi all! Hope you’re having a great weekend no matter what you’re doing! There’s tons of inspiration in the galleries if your mojo has gone a little AWOL like mine. Here’s what’s inspired me today!
I’m always drawn to pages with large images and paired with some cool wintery tones, Outdoor Antics by hiddenartist is a real gem! I love those gloves, the snowflakes, the pretty clusters top and bottom, and the glittered edging. This piece of work has so much pizzazz!
Speaking of clusters, Anke has grouped a selection of elements together, perfectly layered and shadowed, to showcase this photo of her gorgeous girls on her page entitled Love You. I love the soft and pretty ‘sponged’ backdrop with a smattering of pink hearts and pink and teal is always a great colour palette especially with little hints of lemon here and there. So pretty!
Bloom by gduncan is a great example of how a pop of colour works so well with an otherwise monochrome page. A super textured backdrop forms the base and I love the crop of the black and white image and the cohesive mix of layers and elements, while the string bow adds a carefree feel. Love this!
I always admire those who create travel albums and Adventure by esther_a has me longing to see some far flung places that I can only dream about. I love the world brush work pinpointing all the ‘landing’ places she visited on this grand expedition and the great texture that the backdrop and tag provide. The red elements provide the perfect contrast and I’m looking forward to seeing more of this adventure in the galleries! A terrific travel page!.
Another eye catching page is MyOllieBoy by HeidiMcGregor. The uneven strips of red left and right really pull the eye in to the focus of the page… that gorgeous kitty image! I like how the wood effect backdrop shows off the pretty detail and those little hearts are so cute! Such a great design!
And what can I say about XOXO by Mother Bear? Just WOW! Beautifully layered and jam packed with oodles of detail, this project oozes so much love around the amazing image! On top of a wonderful striped background, this page is amazing and I love the visual triangle of clusters, the torn paper to the bottom and the word art. So awesome!
I do hope you’ve enjoyed my picks for today and that they inspire you to document one of your stores. When you get a moment, click on the links above and leave a comment or two for the artists – I know they will appreciate you taking that time. Till next time, happy scrapping and I’ll see you in the galleries!
