Hey! We’re half way through the week and I always enjoy the slide down to the weekend! January is proving to be a little hectic for me and I haven’t been in the galleries as much as usual but I’m pleased to have sent my 2019 Yearbook and Project Life to print and I’m ready to scrap some 2020 memories but… I see a lot of you have already been making the galleries burst so let’s have a look at what caught my eye today.
Be Awesome by bellisae is well and truly living up to its title! I love the framing and the unique colour palette of pink/peach/grey/black that adds lovely contrast to this page. The pretty pink and white striped backdrop creates a beautiful softness while the gently shadowed elements provide lovely depth and the doodling adds a playful feel. A super cool page!
There’s always an element of excitement when house hunting and I love that Sharon-Dewi has documented the path she took to finding a new home on her page entitled The Search. A great cluster of photo’s documenting the details of each property is set against the backdrop of a mix of patterned papers and the page is balanced beautifully with a cute topical cluster on the left and a journaler on the right. A terrific page and I hope the sun always shines on her new home!
Twenty Twenty Vision by NAdams caught my eye with the large image blended so beautifully and its gorgeous soft tones. Pages with repetition, in this case, the same image has been used four times, are always a winner. I just love the abstract artsy-ness and I so wish I could scrap like this!
Another page with great photo blending is Miracles by Bahtoy. Isn’t this one a cutie?! I love the star frame and the delicate elements place mostly horizontally but check out the stencil alpha! Love this!
Fab by Amandaresende is a super striking with a great mix of coloured brush work. The images really pop against the colour palette and I love the printed strips that are casually arranged beneath. Such a warm and vibrant page!
My last pick for today is So Happy by adrianita. Black and white images are always so classic and I love how this one is a blendable spread across two frames. The title work brings the detail of the page together, linking to the two monochrome clusters either side. Anyone else have the creator of Zumba at their wedding?! A wonderful page that is full of fun, happiness and energy!
I hope you’ve enjoyed these wonderful pieces of work and that they inspire you to scrap some stories of your own. When you get a moment, please click on the links above and leave a comment or two for the artists who’ve shared their work with us. Till next time, take care and happy scrapping!
