Finger Pointing – November 30th

Good morning and happy Monday (again). Lots of inspiration in the galleries today so I’ll get right to it. It’s Beatrice on the blog and here are my picks for today.

Get Inspired – Turn Pocket Cards into Pockets by wsprite_ad

I’m always looking for new ways to use the pocket cards included in so many collections. I was excited to find this layout and read the tutorial. This page is so cute- I love the stuffed pocket and the hand-drawn bow tying it all together. All the little bits mesh seamlessly. The brush work and stitching are the perfect foundation.

This is such a pretty page. I really like the palette. The photo crop is intriguing and the surrounding clusters enhance it in just the right way. The shadowing is lovely and the combination of hand-drawn and realistic elements is one of my favorite techniques. I like the tilt of the title-work too.

 

 

Deck the Halls by okate

As a scrapper who likes to pile it on I am surprised to see several white space/minimalist pages among my pics. I like the torn framing for this gorgeous photo and the way the element cluster is perpendicular to the title work. The messy stitching is a great backdrop for the focal point.  A lovely and appealing Christmas page.

Another favorite technique, blended with framed photos is shown in this layout. I also like the combination of color with black and white photos. The photos are so cute and I especially like the one where she is standing on the pony. The title-work is sweet with the combination of aloha and button letters.  This is a great example of a photo-focus page.

It seems I can never resist adding a pet page to my post. These photos are adorable and the journaling was a fun read. I like the limited palette and the way the photos overlap. The tile-work combining font, word strips and embellishments is very clever.

I really like the page design created by this artist. It works so well to show off the perfect photo including the way it’s cropped. The journal strips are combined so well to create the story for this page.
