Hey there everyone!

Well, I hope you had a fun DSD weekend? It was my first one and I’m loving that it happens right after my birthday, meaning my spendy spendy was done using my birthday vouchers and money – whoop! I can’t wait to play with all the goodies.

Also full confession time, I was convinced that I was due to post on the 6th, so my pointing today is from earlier this week, doesn’t make them any less awesome though 🙂

Be real, Not perfect – by Dalis

Ironically, I think this page is perfect 🙂 I really love the simplicity of the page, so few elements used to create a really impactful piece. I love the layers of paper, with flowers and stitches peeking out. And that bold, bright background paper is truly a perfect foil for the collagey piece.

Sylvia- October Monthly

This jumped out at me from the gallery. So much ‘clean’ space, with that super cluster of elements, complimenting the cutest photo ever – just look at that cheeky grin! I love the very neutral colour palette with just a couple of pops of red and teal to brighten it up.

Give Thanks by Bits’n’Pieces

I am a big fan of circles in layouts, I think they are just so versatile and can add a lot. In this layout, the different textures and uses for the circles are very cool and I really like the cluster of flowers sitting on the circles, with the butterflies leading to and from the cluster. The details around the edges are amazing and I think finish the page perfectly.

Clever as a Fox by Just a Girl

Gorgeous layout!! Really making those photos pop. I really like the mix of patterns and the clever pun in the title and journaling, meaning we got to see the cute little Fox element, nestling in the wonderful cluster. The shadow work is amazing.. I can but dream of creating shadows this good!

Fall Magic by Mama Shades

Again, another superb mix of patterns here, non-trad fall colours too, which is really lovely to see.. The out of bounds Pumpkin is just awesome and I love the burst around it! I am a big fan of layouts where the journaling is partially covered. I think because my OCD traits just won’t let me do it!!

Hug in a Mug by Ophie James

I really like that the colour palette for this layout is all coffee colours, with just teeny pops of colour to add a bit of interest. It works so well, and you don’t really notice how the colour is drawing you in. The use of threads, messy marks, and flowers, moves it away from a ‘regular’ coffee style layout and adds a lot of variety. I love the use of the doily, adding a bit of texture to the page.

I hope you have enjoyed viewing these pages today, and if you have a spare 5 minutes, please go and show them some more love.

I’ll see you soon and have a great weekend.

  1. Thank you! That pattern paper in the background is a solid paper with the same stamp flipped and plasted everywhere. LOL!!!
