Hi everyone! I hope life is treating you reasonably well despite these still crazy times. I find it hard to believe I’ve been working the day job from home for almost a year. It has its pro’s but it certainly has its cons too and quite frankly, I’d really like a little more certainty on what life is likely to be like going forward but I guess I just have to be patient and wait it out. In the meantime, let’s take a look at the bunch of pages that stood out for me in the galleries today!
What better way to start with a celebratory page! I love the contrasting colour palette of Jojo – Negative by HillareyLuther and the wonderful page design allows for great use of patterned paper. The perfect extraction is very striking and the pretty brushwork makes for a gorgeous, feminine backdrop. Fabulous!
Paper and Paint (redo) – The Early Years by dvhoward has a smashing vintage look. The watercolour backdrop, great layering, an amazing mix of elements and those classic black and white images come together so beautifully. Gorgeous!
Another page with some vintage layers but with a modern day story is Today by Kayleigh. The blue and peach colour palette is one of my favourites at the moment and I love all the glorious detail contained in every layer. Great page design that runs both vertically and horizontally makes this page a winner!
I so miss a kitty around at home so Waiting by beaute really tugs any my heart strings! I love the soft tones, the diagonal design and the blending is terrific. So, so beautiful!
RFHL4 by reginafalango contains an array of delicate and romantic tones and I love the art journal/painting/sketchbook look with its watercolours and handwritten font. I would love to have watched this page come together… it’s just so pretty!
Monochrome pages are always so striking and Motivational-Quote-Dreams-2-1-150 by zotova is a super example. An awesome mix of brushwork, a couple of layers, an amazing quote and a good helping of white space make up this creative piece of work. Absolutely love this!
I hope you’ve enjoyed my picks for today and that they inspire you to document a story or two of your own. When you get a moment, please click on the links above and leave some love for the artists, I know they will appreciate it. Till next time, take care, stay safe, and happy scrapping!
Thanks, Liz, this is such a sweet surprise!
You’re welcome Diane! I LOVE your page!
