Finger Pointing – November 6th –

Good evening, here I am again with some joy from the galleries, to give you inspiration and a bit of warmth! Will try be brief as it is past 2 am Sunday here, but with so many awesome artists, took some time to be able to go for just very few pages….

My heart has been taken with this pure awesome, Gizmo by Pachimac, who has been taking my heart since I first saw her pages, and especially in the past couple of months. This is especially dear, such a smart crop for the photo, which is technically perfect capturing the expression that can melt icebergs, the focus and depth of field brilliant , the layers in the background giving more dimension, the beautiful embellishing with delicate touches, the colors bringing warmth to the sweetness of Gizmo…..everything shines!!!!

Following is a page amazing beyond words, 2009 Thanksgiving by Iowan, full of beauty, perfection in memory keeping and a marvellous portrait of the season…. LOVE the big words template, the gorgeous, happy photos tucked in, the super skilled choice of patterns plus the background itself with more patterns….and still, this is a show of elegance so wonderfully put together!!!!! As Carol always does… this is perfection all over!!!

Another talent, one of my most admired and loved people in the whole industry, HeatherB with Best Birthday ever. Love when she does memory lane, the boys I am seeing growing up for a bit over 10 years, and with them grows her talent to give us an insight into her home life and a master class in every page…. here with a composition that sees a background full of shapes and patterns, here again, she manages all with elegance, those clusters enhancing the beauty (and cute overload!) of the photos, then background colors so well chosen, the elements so beautifully put together to enhance the whole page, and those shadows!!!!!! All over joy of perfection!!!

Another lady full of talent, also following her for over 10 years and being amazed by her creativity, is Lisa, ArmyGrl with Joy In the Journey. Again with the golden feel of the season, a most amazing show of how much can be done with neutral tones,  a fabulous blending on top, the layered background with perfect choices made even more perfect by the shadows…. magnificent !

Next is This Moment by LisaMT, a feast of gorgeousness beyond the visuals (which are already awesome) with the story behind the page. Love it when stories are shared, and this one resonates in taking me to my own childhood with my brother (5 years younger)… my mum has very, very few moments like Lisa’s here…having it documented is precious, and here she does it with so much elegance!!! Love the layering with the photos, the clusters with the detail of the empty film frame …everything connected brilliantly!

With this one, November by LivyBug, I m gonna have to make an effort to just talk about the page and not the gorgeous ladies here portrayed, I’m quiet sure all of you know this family of talented women, talented in many more ways than their artful creations, but as it is almost 3 am Sunday I will just tell you how much the photos fill my heart with joy, the amazing skill which brings the colors into am perfect harmony, the ability to make the photos shine with a sweetly patterned background paper, the detail of that piece of lace in the border, the shadows most perfect….all connected by those smiles… I know I am repeating myself, but, yes, perfection!

Last but not least, a marvellous page, You Are Here by Caro. LOVE love love with all my heart when all textures get put together so brilliantly as here, the stamps, ephemera  and all kinds, all elegantly composed in top and bottom allowing for more elegance with the blank space, another superb rendition of neutral colors becoming spectacular….. as I said, marvellous!!!!!
