Hello and welcome to the Monday blog post.  This is Cheryl, aka Cherylndesigns, bringing you some layouts that I found, while surfing the galleries.  Since this is the beginning of the second week in February (I know, can you believe that?) – the galleries are brimming with Valentine’s Day pages.  I’ve tried to mix it up a little today, although I could easily have picked six Valentine pages.  Let’s get started for today.

Kim Pay Some Memories Fade

The blending on this page is what first caught my eye!  When I read about all of the different blending techniques and also the photo techniques, I had to choose this page!  It’s always so interesting to read about an artist’s creative process and I was blown away by all of techniques that were used to create this page, as well as to create this final framed photograph.

Stefanie Love You

All of the little hearts on these strings are stunning, as is the photograph with all of the clustering and elements under and around it, and the stacked frames are really eye catching.  The clustering in the bottom is lovely and ties both corners of the page together, seamlessly.

Electra Olde Timey Photo

Okay, I’ve seen a lot of these “old photo” pictures, but this is probably one of the best I’ve seen. They all look as if they’ve been in this pose for a long time.  I also love the dark background – the photo just pops off the page and the soft, airy border on the right side just sets the whole page off.

I promised that all of today’s pages weren’t Valentine’s.  Of course, I love the beach, so this page jumped right out of the gallery at me.  I love that there are so many pictures on here and that some of them are candids (my favorites), as well as lots of journaling.  The large photo in the background is just beautiful, too!

Jakrn It’s My Birthday

I’m a big fan of pocket pages!  This page is a perfect example of why I love them – you can actually “see the story” as your eye moves around the page.  I love the balloon element in its own pocket and, of course, the cake – in the last pocket so neatly ties all of the pictures together.  Wonderful storytelling.

Glori2 Mom Son Dance

This page is just so happy and sweet.  What a special wedding moment captured on camera.  I love the framing and the way some of the pictures are set on an angle.  There are several pictures on this page, but they’re all so easy to see.  The background and use of elements really make the pictures stand out.

I hope you’ve enjoyed my choices for today.  Be sure to stop by and leave these artists some love.  Keep on scrapping and posting and maybe you’ll see one of your pages right here on the blog.
