Hi everyone,

Happy Friday to you all! I hope you have fun plans for the weekend. It’s been a busy week, so I really enjoyed wandering through the galleries whilst continuing to watch the NFL Draft (yep I am sports mad..).

Tativero – Where is the Smile

When I see beautiful mixed media/art journal style pages like this, I always wonder if the scrapper is also a traditional mixed media artist? This is amazing, her blending is unreal, and I love the elements over the face of the woman. It feels very textured and real. I love it.

AnnSofie – I don’t have to be everywhere

I am a big fan of AnnSofie’s work. I really love her hybrid items. I am a hybrid girl too and I get inspired by other people’s work. I chose to show you the close up of one of the album pages, because I really wanted you to see the dimension and shadows that drew me in. Love the colour palette that really pops off of the muted background.

Natascha – 15 of my Favorite Things

This is just awesome! I love the way she has made the template entirely hers. Just having one photo makes all of the journaling really stand out. I wish my Dutch was better lol! I really like the cute little flower clusters, adding a little bit of extra colour and detail.

jk703 – We’ve Moved Again

I LOL when I saw this, as hubby and I have moved several times too – including to a different Country!! I really like the b&w photos, they work so well with the pretty pastel colours she has chosen to use. The little strip of plaid paper is wonderful and the arrows perfectly illustrate her story.

EllenT – Hearts First

Everything about this page is making me happy! I love the muted background, allowing the amazing central cluster to be the hero. Her shadows are always amazing, but I feel she has outdone herself here. I especially love the butterflies circling the cluster.

Cristina – Upside Down

There is so much emotion in this page. I really love her title work, supported by all the word art. The uneven layers just add to the emotion, as do the minimal embellishments she has chosen. I wanted to feature this page, but I also didn’t want to ignore the emotion here and possible struggles. Remember that life struggles are real, and you should always seek help if you need it, I’ve been here and coming out the other side with help has been a game changer.

Thanks for walking through the galleries with me, I hope you will go and show these talented scrappers some love.

Not sure if I will see you in May, my bestie arrives for just over 3 weeks in a few days and so I’ll be stepping away from my computer and focusing on IRL time with her.

Claire x
