Hi there once again, Carol here (carollee in the digi world) and coming to you from downunder where our Spring weather has flipped and turned quite cool again.  So a good day to stay in and sew and scrap and knit, what a productive day.  Now to go check out the galleries and get me all inspired.

Where is Anja? By Meliora

My word, this sounds like an interesting challenge.  The artist has really set the scene with that mapped background paper.  Looks like a terrific hunt for the prize.  Great cluster of photographs, text messages, tickets, and other elements.  Loving the footprint stamps, terrific.  And that folded Alpha ANJA just laying across the top reminds me of the folds in a well worn map.

You Were Never Meant to Make Sense to Everyone by FayetteT

One of the most fortunate and greatest things is to have a partner in life that makes you laugh.  Absolutely adore this page celebrating this lovely quirky fun loving man.  A pacman suit, fantastic.   The two frames with photos 3 years apart a testament to his cause.  All the snippet words are terrific with a fabulous use of rich colour and that background paper you’ve selected has me swooning.  Hooray for a little weird in our lives.

Escape and Exhale by sucali

I do declare I see a koala on there, and taking a hunch that might be the Melbourne skyline in the other photo?  I’m really liking the orange background paper mimicking that glow of the sun.  Terrific swirly word element leading you down a path to the tree as well as that lovely stamped magical splat under the photo.  Really really like this page.

Scraplift Chain-Flying Horse Diner by shannonr

Okay so this page had me at hello!  How exciting all the reds and aquas, it’s just so eye-catching.  A terrific use of photographs of the diner and traveller blends fills the page so beautifully.  This is one place I’d really like to see, one of the best parts of the scrapping community is getting to see so many places from across the world in travel pages.

First Day of School 1962/63 by Anke Turco

Oh wow!  Everyone is going to read this artist’s journalling and go try it now I bet.  What a great use of AI.   Firstly that true life photograph is just darling, loving the school elements to anchor that photo in.  Then the Chat GPT’s cleaner presentation of that old photo, colourised as well, just flipping brilliant.    With the wooden background and some chalk drawing on the wood, this is just a fabulous piece of work.  Bravo.

092026JC-Season by AnotherAmanda

A fantastic photoless page where the journalling is the star.  Firstly love that big papery PLEASE.  Fantastic.  Looks like the artist has had a busy season.  The typed font works well and is clear to read, so with that corner to corner shape of the title and the journalling, it still gives way for white space allowing the page to breath.  Beautifully done.  PS:  I’m just over the cold downunder, so I’ll gladly look after summer for you for a while.  🙂

Well I’m wrapping it up once again, off to schedule this for the morning for the northern hemisphere so I can see it live before I head off to a mosaic day course I’m doing.    If you’ve enjoyed the pages that I’ve chosen, please do go and click on the page title/artist and leave a comment or two for these brilliant artists who share their talent with us.

Bye for now and keep scrapping, Carol.
