Happy Friday! My turn to stroll through the galleries and find you today’s inspiration….

WeeklyARTbits No.8 by Guinevere

This is so simply and stunningly beautiful. The line in the middle guides your eye, making you absorb every single detail.

Great centric design here with the compass brush and the paper layers in the center, I also love the cut-outs giving you a peek at what’s underneath.

What a great and fun boy page this is. Love the splatters giving it a messy and colorful look, but what really caught my eye is the use of different papers for the background and how they are tied together.

Love love love the blending, did I mention I love the blending?
Clever use of the arrows too, together with the scribble, makes for a powerful page!

Things Moms Say by SATW

Honestly, I giggled a bit when I read some of the things. Funny effect with the different fonts, and the upside-down mom!

Upcycled bangle bracelet by autumnsensation

Last but not least, something we don’t see often. A hybrid project!
And a bracelet nonetheless, made out of a very funky and colorful background. Don’t you just love it?

Hope you got a great dose of inspiration! Till next time.

Finger Pointing – January 15

Wow, time flies! We are already halfway through January.
Well, to get my mind off that, here are today’s picks.

… or you could keep swearing by Dalis

Big and bold, the titlework here is awesome! Great touch with the stitches framing the page. And I just love her statement.

fourteen by Keely~B

A perfect teen page, fun, funky and colorful. Love the hearts scattered all over.

My sweet home tiger by Margje

Beautiful use of textures, a bit grungy, some blending and the net is just perfectly placed.

Ask the daisy by Sarah001

I like how she used a plain white background to make the cluster stand out. Nice touch with the teeny tiny scatters, very pretty!

relax… by ksharonk

More awesomeness, here the huge contrast between the black and white draws your eyes to blues of the beautiful photo. Just gorgeous.

Handful of love by Yelina

Fab clustering and beautiful blending, her shadows are stunning too!

Finger Pointing – January 3

Hello, hello, a huge welcome back in 2013!
Are you ready for your daily dose of creative inspiration?

hello 2013 by chickypow

Now, isn’t this a very fitting title for the year’s first Standout? 🙂
Love the explosion of color on the neutral background, nothing like grabbing your attention immediately. Check out the teeny tiny details too, like the arrow pointing to the title and the little butterfly way up in the corner. Very cool layout!

Unique by ehtucker

What a gorgeous page with such a well-done cluster, this time with layer upon layer, all tied together by the painty accents behind it all.

Always be True to you by amandac

Great layering here too, check out the threads peeking out from behind the layers. Love the composition and color combination too, the purple accents really make it all pop. This so pretty!

The Simple Life by modgee

Isn’t this awesome? Love the wreath and titlework, I can totally picture this being framed and hung on the wall.

Hello Mr. Doe by ChantalK

Love how the clustered frame stands out between all those other empty frames. Great titlework too.

AJ Caravan 2013 Cover by Lynnise

What a great cover for an art journal, vibrantly colored and very personal with the blended photo. LOVE!

That’s it for today, have a very creative and happy 2013!

Finger Pointing – December 3

Hellooooo digiland!
It’s been awhile since I last finger pointed outstanding layouts, and I almost forgot how to do it. But I’ve been happily browsing the galleries to find some beautiful inspiration.

Here we go!

stand on the edge by stampin_rachel

Got pulled right into this whirlwind of a layout. Not only do the lines and journaling draw your eyes to the center, but the photo is well chosen too!

Us by Hollie

The vibrant patterned green background contrasts nicely with the B&W photos and the red paint is just the right accent to tie it all together.

Autumn_Days7 by honeyb

Love the papercut triangles and how she manages to use only patterns. Yet, it doesn’t get too busy. Beautifully done!

Christmas-Tree8 by amscpa

I’m such a sucker for simple layouts. Love the sketched look especially and well combined with the realistic elements.

YOU ARE THE WONDER by wombat146

What a super pretty layout! Love the soft colors and the design between the circles, but the yellow is what did it for me. It totally makes the beautiful blue eyes of the little girl stand out.

Quiet beauty speaks volumes by sokee

This is simply perfect! Soft and neutral toned, a little pop of red and a barefly visible circle to frame it all. LOVE!

Finger Pointing (January 14)

It was pretty difficult for me in the galleries today. It took me a long time to finally narrow it down to just a few, but I hope you enjoy them.

Fly by HeatherH

Love the graphic touch with the lines and  halftone dots, but it was the crop of the photo blended in the background that made me take another look at this page. Add those wings and wonderful word art, and you have a stunner of a page!

Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs by shades of bliss

Clever using the title of the movie, and definitely makes you wonder what was up when looking at the photo. Just love how she illustrated it with the clouds and the girl with the umbrella. Her titlework is such an eye-catcher and wait….are those meatballs?

Pure love by anetka

This is just pure delight! Delicately placed elements and such a dreamy mood to it all, beautifully done!

[scrap therapy] by whatnext

Nothing like a bold title expressing what’s on your mind. Love the color pops together with the simple background and the awesome brushwork!

Be 2012 by Mabel

More color and this time full page! Another huge title, but what really made this for me, is the ever so slightly peek at the photos tucked underneath the layers!

Under the [beautiful] sky of Paris by valeriapiemonte

I guess I’m in the mood for yet another page with awesome title work! Love the different framing on the photos and the brushwork to accent it all!

Finger Pointing (January 7)

Happy Saturday! It is weekend, so there are a lot of wonderful pages in the galleries.
Here are my favorites for today:

Move by hollyinjapan

Her one little word, made the focal point on this page. I like that she journaled the intentions behind her chosen word, making this page even more special!

My Project 52 Weeks Week 51-25 [left] -2011- by MrsPeel

It is the ordinary moments that we sometimes forget to record. Like this photo that shows a peek into such a moment of her daily life. A wonderful example that caught my eye immediately!

Daily 5 by Mi Monteiro

Fab use of the patterned paper and gorgeous clustering. Even thoug it might seem busy, she totally made it all come together!

2012 P366 Cover by MumaSue

What a cool cover page for her Project 366! Love the huge title, and also the scattered date elements, like she cannot wait to fill up this album!

Love The Light… by BernieTuffs

A wonderful quote, beautifully showcased with just a touch of light and a simple cluster. The purple flower is the perfect highlight on the dark background. This should be framed!

Places I’ve Called Home by KimR+

I like how the circles represent the places she has lived in, but no matter how many there were, they all could be called her home!
